Boosting Spell DC?

I'm working on a PC somewhat focused on charms and dominates and was wondering if there were some feats, abilities, or magic items out there that could help boost the effectiveness of these spells or abilities? I'd like to make the spells as difficult to resist as I can, if at all possible. The PC is to be a level 6 Wizard/8 Mindbender. I understand this isn't the most potent combination, but there are reasons for the PrC progression, namely my inability to really explore all of my options in the timeframe I currently have before launching the PC.

Also, are there any other Spell Resistant items other than the DMG's mantle of Spell Resistance?

Thanks for any help. cheers

Spell Focus? Tattoo focus? There's also Boost Spell-Like Ability from the BoVD, which seems pretty decent:

Get the Dragonblood subtype (Dragonborn or Draconic template) and the following feats: Snowcasting, Cold Focus, Greater Cold Focus (all in Frostburn) and Draconic Aura: Energy (Cold) (Dragon Magic).

Enjoy

Or just be a Silverbrow Human...

Anyway, you can add Ability Focus to that, as well as a Veil of Allure. Look HERE for more.

P.S:
I know you said that Mindbender isn't optimal, but frankly, a pure Wizard would've been better (at most, take 1 level of Mindbender).

I have a similar PC. Luck of the draw and the DM, bless his fuzzy cold blooded heart, gave me a Human Wizard ( not a specialist, no, that would have been too kind) 5/ Mindbender 10.

"here's your base stats, class and level, now make me proud." Handed me the paper with that grin.....

Well I like a challenge so I made the best of it. I've palyed it long enough to take him up a level. ( Wiz6/Mindbender 10 )

Base Stats Str 8 Dex 8 Con 8 Int 18 Wis14 Cha 18
Bonus Stats 4, all went into Int, Int 22

Feats
1: Spell focus Enchantment DC+1
3: Greater spell focus Enchantment DC+1
5: Cooperative Spell
6: Practised spell caster +4 Wizard
9: Ability Focus - Eternal Charm DC +2
12: Heighten Spell Like Ability - Eternal charm (Now level 6, DC+2)
15: Heghten Spell

Items of note:
Headband of intellect +6 (36,000gp)
Greater Choker of Eloquence +10 (6,000gp)
Staff of Fire (17,750gp)
Mantle of Spell Resistance (90,000gp) (Theres is a belt of Spell Reistance on pg 148, Complete Arcane)
Vest of Resistance +5 (25,000gp)
Belt of Many Pockets (11,000gp)

Skills
Maxed out bluff, diplomacy, sense motive, took 5 in knowledge nobility, other points spent for flavor.

With Choker, synergies, skill boost from mindbender and Voice of The Dragon spell his Diplomacy is 53.

Caster level is 15 (practised spell caster)
Enchantment spells are caster level 19 (Mindbender enchantment spell power + 4)
Enchantment DC is 20 (10 +Int mod 8 +focus' 2) plus spell level
Eternal Charm DC is 26 (Base 14 + 2 ability focus + 2 heighten spell like ability + 8 stat mod)

Since I wasn't a specialist I took the Command Undead spell and heightend it to 5th. Paid for itself on our first outing as DM sent a Lich againts us. Used and abused it till I came arcoss his brute NPC (which killed the lich).

Dispel magic doesn't effect the Eternal Charmed but watch out for the break enchantment ( DC26, however that might be bumped up by taking the practised spell caster feat and adding it to the Mindbender class making it a 30, taking down the percentage from a 50% (sucks) to a 25%(tolerable) chance for success)

Now I have a human W3/C3/MT9, an Elf Sor 12 and a Lamia (Rog 4/ Shadowdancer 8) EC'd. I've used Bestow Curse on their wisdom saves to drop them down by 6.

Thrall is a half Ogre Warhulk (Brb 5/ WH 5),

Hope this gives you some ideas.

On another note I'd love help turning this guy into an OC. DM hates Psionics so using them are right out. I don't want to hijack this thread so let me know if it needs it's own.

if you don't mind being tied to one energy type (and with the class selections it won't matter) take silverclaws suggestion (snow casting cold focus/greater etc.) and take 4 levels of frost mage (frostburn) and 10 levels of elemental savant (cold). elemental savant will give you + 2 DC to cold spells and all your spells are cold due to snow casting. + 2 from the Cold focus/great cold focus). Fey Heritage and Fey Presence from PHB 2 raises enchantment spells DC by 1 and tattoo focus would raise it by 1 too. Add in the spell focuses and you get:
2 (ES) + 2 (cold focus/greater) + 1 (heritage feats) + 1 (tatt focus) + 2 (spell focus/greater) = + 8

In addition becuase all your spells are cold grab some Blue Ice full plate, it has 0 arcane spell failure for cold spells.
