#1 incendius Nov 11, 2008 11:21:47	Now, in most games, the Metamind is a horrible prestige class, with almost no appeal, but what if it could be made better, what if Font of Power could be extended by some manor? Look no further then Complete Psionic, with the power Temporal Reiteration. Temporal Reiteration is a 5th level Nomad Power that extends the rounds of any ongoing effect by 1, as a swift action power. It effectively makes the previous round not count for these effects. So what does this combine to? If one is playing a 15th level game, one can effectively make the Metamind a viable, if not overpowered choice. The Metamamind's font of power will be extended indefinitely. With Practiced Manifestor, one only loses an effective 1 ML at the end of the day. A person using this method still does not gain access to any ninth level powers, and only one eight level power, but given that most of these are just gravy and not completely important, its a fair trade off. So basically, with Temporal Reiteration, it comes out so that taking Metamind as a Nomad is a viable, if different option that gives up 1 ML, 6 9th level powers, and 2 8th level powers, all swift actions (though you do have a 10 round leeway per day, which is probably more than enough) for infinite PP. Thoughts?

#3 Omen_of_Peace Nov 11, 2008 12:13:42	That's an old trick. IIRC the consensus is that while it's great for theoretical builds, in a real game you're often better off with straight psion. Re-post it in the Psionics forum - the old-timers there can probably tell you more.
