| #1flamekinNov 01, 2010 6:58:27 | My DM recently started a 4th edition game, and is insisting to me it is impossible to munchkin or break 4th edition. I need to prove him wrong. What are the most broken/powerful races classes and builds? |
| #2SenevriNov 01, 2010 13:14:36 | Wrong board, you want the 4e Character Optimization one. |
| #3waazraathNov 01, 2010 16:44:21 | but welcome nevertheless ;) Feel free to drop by if you ever need to break 3.5! |
| #4awaken_D_M_golemNov 01, 2010 18:38:04 | Nothing in 4e is broken, relative to 3e or 3.5e. N o t h i n g , p e r i o d. Straight hacking 4e stuff into 3e provides some semi-borkt material. Enchant Magic Item ritual, is a math of the game basics in 4e. Enchant Magic Item ritual, straight hacked into 3e, is every magic item crafting feat rolled into one. You wanna be a gestalt Artificer 10+ right from the start, right?! ** Going the other way ... 3e Monks suck in 3e. They just do. They can Stun at level 1. 4e any class can get Carrion Crawler Brain Juice poison, but only if they are really lucky. And it's expensive. So ... DM Fiat + blow all your money = 1/10th what a 3e Monk can do. Borkt? Nope. |

I don't even bother anymore, and just buy a month of the character builder whenever I have to play 4e. Make my guy with that in a single sitting and figure it will be "playable enough". Last I checked orb wizards could give out a -15 or so to saves, basically auto-winning any/most solo fights with daily powers like sleep. Things aren't as broken as some of the theoretical stuff from 3.x (infinite stats, ect), but there is still plenty that will ruin a game. |
