I don't have the Know (comic books) ranks to answer this question myself. My best guess so far (which is, I admit, a bit of a shot in the dark):

Str 14
Dex 10
Con 14
Int 18
Wis 14
Cha 12

I assume this is Bruce prior to the Hulk template?

Yessir. I've got my own plans for a Hulk build (will be posted here when done), but for now I'm just looking for Bruce's stats.

I assumed high Int and decent mental stats as a scientist, but didn't really know what to do with the physical stats. Is he a weakling in the comic books, or just around average - do they mention it at all?

Switch Dex and Str, the rest will do fine.

Switch Dex and Str, the rest will do fine.

And Con with Cha.

STR: 10 Weak because he is a scientist
Dex: 14 Needs to be agile while working with chemicals
Con: 12 Better than the standard but not to great
Int: 18 He is a scientist for crying out loud :D
Wis: 14 Know how to use that INT
Cha: 14 He has to be diplomatic to present his scientific stuff to people

After hulk

STR: infinite :D
Dex: 14 ??
Con: infinite :D
Int: 3 "Hulk, smash!!":D
Wis: 16 "Hulk know how to SMASH!!":D
Cha: 6 People are afraid of Hulk SMASH!! :D

Think about it Okay.

Festering Anger is the key...

Eh, Festering Anger, not so much (though I cringe to contradict Surreal). The thing is, yeah you can get your Str sky-high, but you can't turn it off and on like Hulk can. I'm pretty happy with the build I've got - once the questions I put in "ask a simple question" get answered and I figure out feats, I'm done.

I think I'll post it Friday, to be in time for the new movie coming out.

Edit - carnivore already answered the questions. Now I just need to figure out feats tonight when I get home from work.

He's one of the smartest people on the planet, so I would definitely assume a 17 or 18 intelligence to start. (And he probably put at least a few points into it as he leveled up.)

I would agree that his Dex is probably higher than his Strength (which is average, not particularly weak) and he may even have started putting some points into this later on. I don't think his Charisma is anything to write home about and he is survivable even as Bruce, so I would leave the Con and Charisma where they are.

His build probably starts off as something like Factotum or (maybe) Artificer, however, he rapidly starts getting into classes like ranger that are far more survivable, since he spends a significant portion of his time on the run and out in the wilderness.

(For the Hulk, his intelligence really depends on exactly where you are in his storyline. He ranges from close to an animal (typical full blown "Hulk Smash!") to cunning (Grey Hulk), fairly intelligent (World War Hulk), to as smart as Bruce Banner (the "Professor" personality).)

Just the type of advice I was looking for, Balth. Here's the updated stats (edited into first post as well).

Str 10
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 18
Wis 16 (Int's no good without the Wis to use it properly)
Cha 10

The build is finished, and I'll post it sometime soon to have it up in time for the movie coming out on Friday.

Is anybody else tired of the suspense?

Oh...well, the suspense wasn't intended. I've been busy, and as an relatively inexperienced CO-er, it took me a while longer. Anyway, the build's up now. :-)

Yeah, mountain rage and war hulk were how I thought you'd do that. One problem. You can't take 2 levels of Barb, take stoneblessed, and then go back and take Barb 1 (sub level) over again.

You'll need to make your first two levels fighter or ranger or something other than barbarian. Crusader might be good, to help represent the Hulk's overall toughness (delayed damage pool and martial spirit stance).

Ok, I thought that might be a problem. So the fact that he wasn't technically a Goliath when he took the first two barbarian levels is not enough to fulfill the "Goliath taking their first barbarian level" requirement?

Boo.

Ok, yeah, I'll likely switch the first two levels for crusader, then. That pushes Frenzied Berserker off to 10th level.

While it doesn't fit the Hulk as well, you might want to consider Swordsage instead of Crusader for the extra skill points and Wisdom to AC (possibly with the Educated feat). The Unarmed variant would even give you decent unarmed attacks, which you'll need for the hulk in my opinion.

(In fact, thinking about it, you might want to see if you can introduce Drunken Master into the mix somehow with a bit of reflavoring to work off of anger/rage. The hulk uses his fists and improvised weapons almost exclusively up until he hits the World War Hulk storyline.)
