I am maybe going to play in a new campaign later, and I think I'll be a Bard or a Spellthief.
The campaign will probably require all players to be Arcane, and since we only are 3 players, I think I'll be the only skillmonkey (and healer), unless of course someone wants to be a Spellthief or Bard something skilly...

To make the campaign easier to play, we are mostly going to use the books we have to everything, which is:
- Core
- SpC
- CArc
- CMage
- PHB2
- UA

The reason to that is that then it would be less to keep track of from books we don't have/only have on a computer...
We are still allowed to use 3 things in the whole character from other books (not sure about PrCs yet)...

For the Bard I was thinking to make I want to use the Bardic Knack ACF...
I was also thinking of taking Lyric Thaumaturge and maybe 1-3 levels of Nightmare Spinner...

We are going to start at level 1...

The builds I have thought of so far is (but I am really open to other suggestions)(LT is Lyric Thaumaturge and NmS is Nightmare Spinner):
- Bard 6/ LT 1/ NmS 1/ Bard +3/ LT +9
- Bard 6/ LT 3/ Bard +3/ LT +7/ ?1
- Bard 6/ LT 1/ NmS 1/ Bard +2-3/ NmS +1-2/ LT +7-9
- Bard 6/ LT 3/ Bard +3/ LT +3/6/ Bard +2/5
- Bard 20

For the Spellthief, I am not sure where to start, and it is hard to find much material on the internet too... Need help with this...

I also need help with feats, spells, etc.

Thanks in advance!

If going with Bard, be sure to be a Sublime Chord. If you focus on casting rather than Music, then Bard 6 / LT 3 / SC 2 / Full Casting 8 is rather good, but more or less anything or just pure Bard until SC is also good.

First off, here are a couple handbooks to reference:

Spellthief Guide and Handbook
http://forums.gleemax.com/wotc_archive/index.php/t-561572

Bard Handbook
http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=952766

For one of your selections from additional supplements, the feat Arcane Disciple from Complete Divine will allow access to several very attractive Clerical spells depending on your Domain choice. Of course, you'll have to have a high wisdom score to use it effectively, so YMMV.

After briefly reviewing the Nightmare Spinner, it is my opinion that the class is not worth taking beyond level two. Even then, the second level ability is marginally useful at best. A one level dip for the Immunity to Fear and additional spell slots seems most optimal to me.

Finally, if you decide to be a Gnome, the Shadowcraft Mage prestige class from Races of Stone will be a potent addition to the later levels of your build. Especially if you follow CantripN's excellent suggestion of taking some Sublime Chord levels.

Either way...just my 2 cp

I just have to say wow, did anyone else notice how wizard friendly that list of sources is?

I've never met a list of sources that wasn't wizard friendly that did not also ban core. So I'm not shocked, but that one is fairly supped-up for wizards. If you have any questions after glancing over those handbooks, I'll be happy to lend a hand then. Exotic builds are sort of my specialty!

While the handbooks are both very good, if you have any questions about them, go ahead and ask because they're not entirely perfect. No handbook is.

I am not going to be a SC...

I know that it is good, but that is not what I want with my character...

But yeah, I am not so sure about NmS, that was one of the things I was most unsure of...

I really need a lot of help with the Spellthief...

I dunno, I mean, I need more information about what your desired direction is, in the conceptual sense.

I need to know what to do to get a better spellthief...
The guide seems a bit outdated (as in, doesn't use SpC, for example)

Skills isn't a very big problem now, and feats are mostly planned, but I am really unsure of what my 6th level feat is going to be (maybe pract. spellcaster?)
Spells, well, I am not sure of what to pick of those...

Also, there are very many good feats I don't qualify to before level 9/12, and I don't know what order to take them in...

9: Elusive Target/Imp TWF/Staggering Strike?
12: Elusive Target/Imp TWF/Staggering Strike/Arcane Strike?
15: Elusive Target/Imp TWF/Staggering Strike/Arcane Strike?
18: Elusive Target/Imp TWF/Staggering Strike/Arcane Strike?

Also, according to JaronK's Tier system for classes, a Spellthief is rated as Tier 4, what to do to bump it to tier 3?
