| #1senor_galdakahnMay 27, 2009 14:09:54 | Ive been invited to play in a campaign recently and i was thinking of recreating deadpool. its been over a year since ive played and even longer since ive been on these boards. The DM is pretty easy going, and even offered to help me make some home-brew race to gain regen, but I'm a little reluctant to do that. I pulled out all the old books I have access to atm: Phb, CAdv, CW, CA, DL(CS), DL(AoM), CS and ToB. I would like to try to get him as much fast healing or regen as possible while still being a decent damage out-putter. I was thinking something along the lines of a monk/crusader/ranger. Heres what i have so far: Human Crusader 8/Ranger2/monk1 str16 dex15 con17 int15 wis15 cha15 *these are all raw rolls, no modifiers or lvl adjusters Because of the high number of odd rolls, the dm told me if i wanted to i could change the 17 to an 18 if i dropped a 15 to a 13....still not sure about that one. Im thinking that at 11th lvl i could get them evened out with items enough that it wouldnt be worth it. with lvl ability additions it would look this Strength 16 (+3) Dexterity 16 (+3) Constitution 18 (+4) Intelligence 15 (+2) Wisdom 15 (+2) Charisma 15 (+2) If i took the option to change the stats as previosly mentioned con would now be 19 and wis 13 Level 1: Ranger 8 Level 2: Ranger 8 Level 3: Monk 2 Level 4: Crusader 5 +1 to constitution Level 5: Crusader 10 Level 6: Crusader 9 Level 7: Crusader 5 Level 8: Crusader 9 +1 to dexterity Level 9: Crusader 9 Level 10: Crusader 10 Level 11: Crusader 8 Total Hit Points: 127 Speed: 30 feet Armor Class: 15 = 10 +3 [dexterity] +2 [wisdom] Touch AC: 15 Flat-footed: 12 Initiative modifier: +3 = +3 [dexterity] Fortitude save: +15 = 11 [base] +4 [constitution] Reflex save: +10 = 7 [base] +3 [dexterity] Will save: +6 = 4 [base] +2 [wisdom] Attack (handheld): +13/+8 = 10 [base] +3 [strength] Attack (unarmed): +13/+8 = 10 [base] +3 [strength] Flurry of Blows: +11/+11 [includes strength modifier] Attack (missile): +13/+8 = 10 [base] +3 [dexterity] Grapple check: +13/+8 = 10 [base] +3 [strength] Light load: Medium load: Heavy load: Lift over head: Lift off ground: Push or drag: 76 lb. or less 77-153 lb. 154-230 lb. 230 lb. 460 lb. 1150 lb. Languages: Common (? 2 more) Unarmed Damage: 1d6 +3 [strength] Feats: Improved Unarmed Strike [monk] Stunning Fist [monk] Point Blank Shot Power Attack Inattentive [flaw] Track [free to rangers] Two-Weapon Fighting [ranger two-weapon track] Troll Blooded Extra Manuevers Known Weapon Focus katanas Weapon Focus Pistols (due to the custom world the setting will include some modern) I know there is a varient monk that allows a nonlawful alignment however i dont have the source book at the moment. Perhaps it would be more useful to take more monk and less crusader. The manuevers that i primarilly want are the Devoted Spirit ones that allow healing with an attack (to replicate his regeneration). This is a very loose build and im open to suggestions of any kind. Im sure my feats arent even close to being optimized so any help there would be appreciated as well. Thank you for you time and again thank you for any imput |

| #4dr_rocktopusMay 27, 2009 17:08:35 | I think he could worship Alan Moore, Deity of Broken Fourth Walls, and be a crusader that way... |

| #6SenevriMay 27, 2009 19:27:46 | Deadpool totally worships Death, though. For an adaptation, Wee Jas could be very appropriate, actually... Except that Deadpool is the poster child of Chaotic (sometimes evil, rarely good, usually neutral). So... Since Crusaders are limited to the extremes, you could say an EARLY deadpool is a Slaughter crusader while a late Deadpool is a Freedom crusader... Still, Warblade is, IMO, probably the best match out of ToB base classes. Add something to make him insanely acrobatic and whatnot. Warblade/Cleric/RKV, with optional Ranger 2-3, Monk dips. Depending on how integral one considers Teleportation, Horizon Walker is one kooky way to go with it. Flurry with Katana would be nice. |
| #7SwordDiscipleMay 27, 2009 19:37:24 | I think Jaunter would be more like Deadpool.. With Quicken Sp ability |

Thanks! i thought i saw something whilst searching the browser on my ps3 after many hours of exhaustion had set in. Unfortunately i couldnt find it later my search-fu is the suxors XD. I am also going to change those stats to lower his wisdom. ill just have to find another way around his will saves. i was kinda hoping i could sway the dm on the alignment restriction. hes an old friend and really wants to see deadpool put into his campaign. I am AFB's untill tommorow but ill have to look over again what little supplements i do have. Even if i cant get this build right i can always resort to playing the arseplomancer after i get a few more levels! |
