Burrowbarian - Needing help to attain a decent burrow speed

This struck me as an odd one after mentioning about a burrowing scout. Realistically I'd want a way to burrow again after attacking, my thought being Spring attack. This'll be for a different game. Unless anyone knows how I could burst out, use ranged attacks and dive back down

So my thoughts here are simply:

 Mineral Warrior Human 1/Barbarian 1/Fighter 4

 Trait: Quick

From here where would I go? I could take Zhentarim levels and burst from the ground using intimidating rage, eventually it'd be nasty as all sin.

Anyway, my question is, how to I maximise the potential of this, I want something that'll burst out the ground, wreck stuff, then dive right back in. And a power attacking barbarian, which will aim to get Rapid Blitz by level 20, seems appropriate.

Anyone else got any better ideas? I'd prefer not to take mineral warrior if there are better ways to burrow... I even looked at Swift Hunter with wild shape ranger, but there aren't burrowing wild feats. I'd actually prefer no LA hit

Anyways, any help would be useful. I want to be doing this from the earliest possible level, thought the campaign starts at level 5

Edit: Just a thought, I'll need tremorsense won't I?

You might want to be able to stay underground for extended time periods. Burrowing doesn't leave a tunnel, so you'll only have so much air down there. Neraphim (Planar Handbook) don't need to breathe (or eat or sleep).

You could play an ardent (Complete Psionic) and use hustle to get an extra move action each round. At 10th level, you can take the dominant ideal alternative class feature so you can twin it every round for two extra move actions.

This game is only going to level 9 I think, we'e starting at fifth, and I'm assumed to have bought off the mineral warrior template. Neraphim could work, I'll run it past my DM. That'd be useful for camping.

Thing is so far I'm looking at using barbarian and fighter, maybe even frenzied berserker, to come up, spring attack, and dive under again. But for this ideally I need tremorsense. I can so far make 25ft burrow with what I have as well.

But I'll definately look at Neraphim.

Edit: Had a look, they need to breathe, unless I'm missing something. Monster Manual 1 states outsiders breathe, but do not need to eat or sleep

I'd suggest warforged, but they're not compatible with mineral warrior.

Yeah this is my biggest issue, breathing and tremorsense. By going the barbarian route I'm intending on basically raging, bursting from the ground and going back under... so I'll have the con to breathe. But I need to be able to most of the time... bottles of air? And also being able to tremorsense. Boots in MiC should get me by until I can fork out 45k to get a pair made

If you take 2 levels of incarnate (Magic of Incarnum), you can use the shedu crown soulmeld to gain telepathy out to 100 feet. If you take the mindsight feat (Lords of Madness, p126), you can pinpoint all creatures within range of your telepathy unless they are mindless.

Is the Shedu crown chakra bound? Or is it the ability of the crown itself? Because if that's the case, I can do it off my feats. Heh the DM had an apoplexy with mindsight last campaign. Our Hellbred was using it with their natural telepathy ability, made him cry.

Hmmm so I can use that until I gain a way to have permanent tremorsense. Such as the boots, or the graft... though the graft may be difficult for setting reasons

EDIT:

Doing some hunting, I keep stumbling across something called Product of Infernal Dalliance... is this a feat or something that somone has just made  as homebrew that people like? Because I can't find a source anywhere... but it gains you telepathy via the Baatezu type

It appears to be quite similar to a bloodline feat, but it's a homebrew/player-made feat.
