| #1sirpercivalSep 04, 2011 18:15:45 | Hello, all! I have a challenge for you. The setup is this: you are the DM, with a party of four highly optimized 20th-level PCs: 1) A wizard/incantatrix 2) An archivist/malconvoker 3) A druid/planar shepherd (Syrania, not Dal Quor) 4) A wilder/thrallherd with two thralls: 4a) A buffificer (19th) 4b) A hulking hurler (18th) Who can come up with the best and most interesting supervillain to throw at them? Rules: 1) No epic. However, advanced high-CR non-epic monsters are fair game (shadow dragon Ur-Priest? Pit fiend monk?) 2) No ubercheese (nanobots, Pun Pun, basketweaver, Twice-Betrayer, etc.). We want the party to be extremely challenged, but not automatically overwhelmed. Similarly, no builds based on infinite loops. 3) Originality and thematic flavor are extra crunchy. 4) All core, splat, and setting books allowed, as well as web enhancements. No 3rd-party stuff. Go to it! |

| #3Ethican2Sep 06, 2011 0:21:25 | So my question to you, would you want a gestalted villain to go against the combined efforts of your heroes? |
| #4sirpercivalSep 06, 2011 5:48:12 | Why not? You have 4 tier 1s (including the artificer) and a tier 2, so they should be able to handle most things. ![]() |
| #5Ethican2Sep 07, 2011 17:40:51 | the build Im currently working on is a synad - ardent/ Psychic weapon master with a crystaline scythe with fighter goodies on the other side. Ardent mantle powers grant some very very potent effects. combining the character and essentially have a living grim reaper. build isn't finished as work's been slaying me IRL. |
