| #1mltrymanSep 30, 2008 20:02:11 | I've looked everywhere and yes i've even followed the link the in the CoP sticky but the archive comes up blank and empty. Anyone at all out there able to please connect me with a working file? I'm looking for it because i'm interested in his process of becoming a beholder mage without being a beholder per say. |
| #2xoraxxOct 01, 2008 8:25:04 | I have been trying to google it up for you, but with no succes.. I'm affraid it got lost when the TO-board ceased to exist. But I believe he was using an Elan purchasing a Polymorp any Object spell to become a Beholder permanently and he used the Assume Supernatural Ability feat from Savage Species (..or metamrpic transfer from expanded psionics I'm not sure) to gain the anti-magic eye (wich you have to put out for the pre-requisites of beholder mage). |
| #3awaken_D_M_golemOct 01, 2008 16:08:16 | Yep. White Screen Of Death, for the reason Xoraxx said. Generic build into Beholder Mage: Psion or Erudite or PsyWar 5 / something 1 / Beholder Mage X MT feat at 5th level bonus, and at 6th level. Pay for the PAO(s) at 6th level. Crush alot. ** If your google-fu is high enough, they might "cache" it sooner or later. You have to find it via: boards1.wizards.com/archive boards1.wizards.com/wotc_archive forums.gleemax.com/archive forums.gleemax.com/wotc_archive and there's even another, that I've forgotten, and then something close to the original title, and click google's "cache" button. That's how I found LoP's Omni OP, and most of the second page of the archive posts. Didn't get Caelic's objection to the Omni. Too Bad. Things might've calmed down enough by now to discuss it rationally. { ... insert tautological smiley face ... } |
| #4innabinderOct 01, 2008 16:12:21 | Yep. Consensus seems to be the base character needed to be an Elan. |
| #5eldarielOct 02, 2008 9:03:07 | The original used two PAOs, having the second casting make it permanent since the first casting gives you all the appropriate types. |
| #6atomickitkatOct 04, 2008 10:33:11 | webarchive has a copy. I'm not gonna make it a link, in case they get all block happy or something. Just copy the latter http://etc. portion into their search engine. http://web.archive.org/web/20061112212001/http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=540563 |
| #7awaken_D_M_golemOct 04, 2008 15:19:30 | Hey, the link went straight to it. And very nice, AtomicKitKat. |
| #8atomickitkatOct 06, 2008 11:05:10 | Hey, the link went straight to it. Yeah, the board's new coding seems to convert all http strings to a direct link. ![]() |
| #9eldarielOct 06, 2008 11:17:23 | Awesome! Now we can salvage all the old goodies from TO! And Epic! And Psionics! At least if we can find the links... |
| #10atomickitkatOct 06, 2008 11:22:55 | Salvage sure, but I would definitely suggest backing them up or something(at least, extracting the core of the thread, even if not the whole), just in case the archive decides there's too many requests for them. |
| #11thehumandynamoOct 06, 2008 12:11:48 | LoP's clonewar tricks on there as well? |
