| #1loganic1May 04, 2008 11:35:05 | I see a lot of people who put up new threads for a new challenge or competition, but it fails miserably. Part of it is that too many newbies don't understand the CO forums enough or read the rules and just use the tag challenge to try to get us to make them a half broken character to ruin their unoptimized campaign. Aside from all the poor excuses for challenges, some people actually have good ideas for challenges, but don't know how to properly set one up or judge one. So I present this. A place for people to put their challenge/competition ideas without actually setting one up. Hopefully one of these ideas will inspire someone who can. They have no obligation to do it in the first place, so if they change/modify it, don't whine. Be happy they even considered it. As with most requests, books, campaigns, house rules, etc are HIGHLY recommended. |

So in the spirit of that, I think it would be a challenge to make characters that focus on a specific stat. Points should be awarded based on how many things the modifiers can be applied to. Assume 18 started stat + 5 @lvl 20 + 6 from equipment + 1 from a tome, so 30. (number of things modified) x (stat modifier) Stat modifiers are included in case additional bonuses come from additional buffs or classes like human paragon. The challenge for each stat should be considered separately. Characters would be level 20 gestalt. Perhaps do a different stat every day of the week. |
