Chameleon caster/skillmonkey multithreat - v2

May 10, 2008 22:05:14		I posted an earlier version of this last year. It is now reasonably updated. Feedback appreciated.

The emphasis of the build is on generalist choices, spell casting, and skills.

All of the classes are of a profoundly generalist theme (Generic Spellcaster / Expert / Warrior, Factotum, Chameleon), except for Crusader, which does add a lot to the generalist nature of the build. Similarly for most feats, which round out the character, add a lot of intelligence synergy, and help with spellcasting effectiveness. It utilizes one trick to get higher level casting (but not the more uber trick that DisposableHero used to get wish at 6th level).

A Skill monkey Casting Chameleon

Race: Human, Good/Neutral, Old age at 18th level, simultaneously applying +1 inherent to Con.
Build: Generic Expert 1/Generic Spellcaster (Divine) 1/Factotum 3/Chameleon 10/Generic Spellcaster (Arcane) 1/Generic Warrior 2/Crusader 2
Feats: Able Learner, Keen Intellect, Ancestral Relic, Insightful Reflexes, Sanctum Spell, Planar Touchstone (Catalogues of Enlightenment = Planning), Leadership (Fiend of Possession), Academic Priest, Extra Slot, Extra Slot, Extra Slot, Spell Mastery, Uncanny Forethought.
Stats: ~D7.8 HD + CON, 8.7 Maxed Skills. Init: +20. BAB: 13. Saves: F: 30 R: 31 W: 37.
-- Assuming Arcane and Divine Focus chosen, and Demand Fortitude with cohort. This is before most equipment and before magic. 171 HP including Con, 201 Skill points including Int and racial bonus

From Dragonlance - Legend of the twins. Must be taken at 1st level, makes Divine bonus spells based on Int. Note that I don't actually have the book, but I've seen it used / googled it.
