Ok, I'm making a Chaling for an upcoming lvl 8 game. It's an rp heavy game. I took 4 lvls of factorum, 3 rogue (including 1st and 3rd changling sub levels) and one of bard (for pure story reasons, my character is posing as a bard.) I maxed out , Disguise, Diplomacy, Sense Motive, Bluff, Gather Information, 4 Knowledge skills, Nobility, Local, History, Geography, and one Perform, Singing. The last of my skill points I spent on three other performs, again, purely for character, and then three skill tricks.

Stats are Str: 8, Dex: 10, Con: 12, Wis: 14, Int: 18, Cha: 16. I took the able learner feat. Obviously, this character isn't built for combat, but social interaction.

So, I need help picking three more feats that will help that out, or make me not so useless in combat. I was thinking of Persuasive, Deceitful, and the other social plus 2 from the PHB, but.. those just aren't very sexy. Any help there would be appreciated. Books allowed: The Ebberon books( I have, Five Nations, Players guide, Explorers Handbook, Setting, and Races of), PHB, DMG, MM, EXP, PH2, Complete Series(Minus Champion), Dungeonscape, MIC, Spell compendium, and TOB.

Also, I have 27000 gold to spend, and am looking to get items that make me better at dealing with people, fooling people and the like, maybe a good, cheap weapon property, ect. I was already planning on buying a Headband of Intellect and a Cloak of Charisma +2.

Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Bumping this. I know I misspelled changling in the title, but I can't fix it. I'm just looking for some help.

Are you dead set on the class levels? I have a killer changeling cleric build that would fit your purposes RP wise and be fun/strong to play

Well, the thing is, my character is impersonating a bard. But, sure, give me the build. I'm more then willing to take a look.

I'd like to keep Factorum 1 if possible, just for every skill in the game=class skill thing, what with Able Learner.

Changeling Factotum 1/Cloistered Cleric 4/Divine Oracle 2/ X 1 (continue DO or take a level of bard if you want to, or any divine prestige class would be nice)

Trade the knowledge domain for knowledge devotion. You'll have Lore from cloistered cleric which coveres bardic knowledge. You have plenty of skill points and knowledge skills in arcana, religion, planes, and local (for the damage to humanoids, plus flavor). your other two domains are Trickery (for all those good class skills) and transformation (for flavor with a changeling)

Switch your Int & Wis for better spellcasting. You'll still have 8 skill points per level.

While maybe not a bad build. I don't think it really fits the flavor I'm going for. Thanks for trying, though.

The social feats are barely worth it. Pick up the changeling racial feats instead. Also, consider the Cabinet Trickster. It's one of the strongest PrCs for a social type, and leads nicely into Mindspy (though you have to consider it from a rapid mindreading aspect, not for combat).
