| #1angerlandOct 12, 2008 22:26:00 | My group is giving 3.5 a final campaign and I want to go out guns blazing as it were. Playing in a DM homegrown, all books open except Bo9S, ( he thinks it's broken). Anyway one of the characters that has always intrigued me is the Shadowbane Inquisitor Prestige class from Complete Adventurer. It's the Rogue Paladin one. Can you all help me max this out? I am very open to races and such but I would like to have no ECl adjustment. Failing that I would like to try my hand at one of the Psychic characters. Is there one from 3.5 that plays anything like a Jedi Knight? What I mean is respectable with a weapon as well as powers. Perhaps some kind of Psychic warrior? Please let me know if ther is any other info that you need or want to help out. Thanks very much in advance. |

I've seen a couple "Jedi" builds using either Psion for the Jedi Consular or Psychic Warrior for Jedi Guardian, but they also included levels from Bo9S. I'm sure they could be altered to use something other than those levels, but there are probably better ways. Best option if you're going generic Jedi might be using a base of Psychic Warrior/Psion to get the main jedi powers. Otherwise, maybe try out a Duskblade to have a prefab Gish? *shrug* |

Not to mention, with the abuse of the Wizard and Cleric classes (amongst others), the martial adept classes are the least of your DM's worries. :D |
| #5angerlandOct 13, 2008 12:21:19 | he is firm about not having Bo9S stuff in the campaign. We have all tried to talk to him about it and he isn't budging...We even threatened to all run clerics and druids to really show him broken. Duskblade could be an option...those are kind of fun! |
| #6vangrueOct 13, 2008 16:31:29 | Oh yeah, Duskblade's nice. Blade-channeling gives some nice combat options, and there's a whole Duskblade handbook on the boards for your optimization needs. :D |

I would like to keep it single class but I know that to truly optimize you need to dip here and there. Really I just need some build to check out and I can pick and choose from there. |
