| #1pergentileApr 27, 2010 2:32:36 | So I have a Half-Farspawn template based off of an Elder Brain (Changed slightly from the web enhanced (Half)-fiendish template) so a character with +8 Constitution, and +6 to either Charisma or Intelligence and +2 to the other, and was hoping you guys could reccomend a good spontanius-caster class that uses one of these scores, preferably the charisma over the intelligence, but any good suggestions are welcome. The idea corresponds better with Conjuration type magic, so healers and bards are less-preferable. The character must be able to burn stuff. Pyrokineticist is a good match, but psionics may be a no go. The more suggestion the better, as I have the time to check them all out in depth. Thanks in advance for the help guys. -Jenn |

Warlocks aren't really casters, but charisma is their DC stat, and a hellfire warlock can sure burn stuff. There're other non-full casters... bards, I think hexblades, maybe a few more... but that's about all I can think of for full casting classes that use charisma as the key stat. I would first examine shugenja. Full casting class, spontaneous, and has to come with an elemental focus. Like, maybe... fire? It fits thematically, although the spell list is relatively sad compared to, say, wizard/sorc.Pyrokineticist may be a good match, but if you go any full caster into pyro you'll be gimped because pyro doesn't improve manifester level/power points per day. Lurk may be worth considering since the key stat there is Int and you can give that one the big boost... it'd be a strong mid-game character. Also funny. "Hi there, did you notice that I just SNEAK ATTACKED YOU WITH FIRE FROM MY MIND!??!!?" |

Thanks for the suggestions Steelblue, I forgot that Sorcerer is Charisma based. What book is Lurk in? Sneak attack spellcaster is something I'm fond of in Desciple of Graz'zt, but I didn't know a non-prestige class had sneak attack spellcasting. Edit: Sorry, Thrall of Graz'zt. |
| #5widowApr 28, 2010 0:55:21 | Bard 4/ Cleric 1/ Dweomerkeeper 1/ Eldrich Master (Dragon Mag 280) 4/ Sublime Chord 1/ Dweomerkeeper 9 |

It's what soulblade should have been in terms of a psionic rogue. I suggested it purely as an entry to pyrokineticist, but a straight lurk can also be a ton of fun. |

Wow that whole thing didn't make a lick of sense until I went to quote it and it put it all into the right formatting. The suggestion is great, but I don't want a caster that increases charisma, I want one that benefits from it, lol. Although both in the same thing is pristine. So those six spells with the right metamagic feats will add +8, +8, +12, +4, +8 = +30 Charisma for divinely persistent amount of time, thus making any spells cast afterwards that much more beastly. Sounds pretty sweet, but besides the augmenting the charisma, would this setup have a good spell list, and be able to cast level 9 spells of all three lists, Bard, Sorc and Cleric? |
