#1 daedhaed Dec 08, 2009 21:32:24	I was told that you could cheese Ultimate Magus to have 9th level spells at 15th lvl. and I was curius as to how. If anyone knows please post the build and how it works.

If anyone knows please post the build and how it works. Not really true. Unless you mean you can cast spells that would normally take 9th level slots, like Quickened Teleport, which is true. I suppose with some tricks you might get earlier 9th level spells, but that has nothing to do with Ultimate Magus in and of itself.
#3 phoenix00 Dec 09, 2009 7:06:14	What you are refering to is a trick that doesn't work. In sum you can qualify for Ultimate Magus with only Wizard 5 with the spontaneous divination alternate class feature since you can spontaneously cast divination spells The arguement then goes you can use both the spontaneous and the prepared side to advance wizard.  This doesn't work due to the fact that even though wizard can spontaneously cast some spells (divinations) it is still a prepared spellcasting class with 1 exception to the general rule.  It isn't a spontaneous spellcasting based class.  Ability to cast some spells spontaneously doesn't make you a spontaneous based class.
