Jun 11, 2009 5:11:30 Is there a rule or guideline to making a Chosen template. It seems to me like there is, and I believe I was told so by a very experienced player. He said it was on wizards but I searched the site and didn't find anything. Does anyone know if there is a set of rules or guidelines to making a Chosen template and if so where can I find it? Your help would be much appreciated.

What is a "Chosen" template?

Your best bet is Savage Species and you will need to 3.0->3.5 translate it.

Jun 11, 2009 13:44:53 It is. Chosen of Mystra is the template he's referring to, it's a pretty powerful template, with several in world characters of great standing having it. It's granted by dieties, and I've seen it as well, but I can't remember where. Your best bet would be trying to google it hungryhippo

Jun 11, 2009 13:56:37 A while ago, a collection of Chosen templates was compiled here. I haven't checked very many of the templates, so don't be surprised if they're 3.0-specific, cheesy, or both.

Jun 11, 2009 17:52:49 Wow, I wasn't aware that they weren't well known. My DM plays almost exclusively in the forgotten realms and the "Chosen" are rampant in our campaigns. I guess ill just have to have my friend see if he can find what he was talking about. I did try google it and the only thing I found was the compiled list on the chosen templates for the fae'runian pantheon and about 1 hundred posts on the Chosens of Mystra.

perhaps I should check the Forgotten Realms section.

Chosen of Mystra Template: Faerun Campain Setting

Chosen of Bane: Faiths and Pantheons

Chosen of Deneir: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=books/fr/deneir

Between the three of those you and your DM shouldn't have too much trouble adjusting the traits given to propperly suit the diety in question.

Edit: Sorry about the Deneir one, the link was posted on an old thread and I guess it's since been subsumed by the novel you see when you hit the link I put up.
