Start off by initiating CC's Perpetual Flank. Next turn, use Emerald Razor to make the necessary attack to complete Perpetual Flank. The turn after that, use SW's Combat Rhythm to touch attack with Flanking Maneuver so that allies get the extra attack. Assuming you haven't moved after either attacks, use CC's Following Up to have the target provoke an attack of opportunity from an ally.

I need to know: what exactly constitutes as a 'normal melee attack' in the first place, as that's what is necessary for Combat Rhythm? Does the melee attack needed to start of Flanking Maneuver count as a 'normal melee attack'? Also, could I fight defensively while using these maneuvers: since they are touch attacks, there probably isn't much of chance of missing even after the -4 attack penalty so might as well snag a +2 bonus to AC as well while we're at it.

2) I believe that this works. Attacks as part of maneuvers qualify as normal melee attacks (else Stormguard Warrior/Avalanche of Blades wouldn't be as awesome as it is). However, it is certainly quite a feat investment, and I'm not 100% sure its worth the benefit.

May 14, 2008 17:18:47 Looks mechanically sound, but why on earth would you spend the time in combat to do all that, or the feats to build all that? Wouldn't it be easier to, I dunno, Diamond Nightmare Blade wtfpwn the person into the next life? Seems really inefficient, which in mid-high level combat, gets you killed or worse. The little +2 from fighting defensive is hardly going to save you from much. You are either going to get killed by someone/thing or disabled by someone before you can pull all that off.

May 14, 2008 17:57:52 Mostly because of the fact that I'm playing a Warblade who's a mercenary leader, as such it kind of behooves me to invest in White Raven maneuvers and go for inspiring my teammates to do the hurting for me. I suppose giving a context as to why I'm doing this might have helped.

It says for Flanking Maneuver that you make a melee attack as part of the maneuver. I'm using Combat Rhythm to make it a melee touch attack instead of a melee attack to bump up the chances it hits to near certainty.
