This post by Surreal is a great post to find all of the links you may need. This thread is simply taking ONE part of his huge list and focusing on it.

I've noticed around the forum that people have spent time compiling Handbooks for certain character classes. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds these astonishingly useful so I thought I'd create this thread to harbour links to all the handbooks.

They'll be sorted into Base classes and Prestige classes. I thank everyone who has helped build these and hope more can be made

Archive Handbooks are removed unless they are the sole handbook for that class.

Bleh, they do (failed on my search roll).

Not exactly... Eye friendly that thread though...

Here is that post, seems more complete.

Good God! There are no less than three Druid handbooks (hell even Spirit Shaman's got one) but none for the Favored Soul?

Anyone interested in throwing one together? I'll help, I have quite a few 3.5 books I got on the cheap from a roommate (the ones I don't have I'll swipe while he's not looking :D ).

If you want talk on the mighty cheese taste some find the Favored Soul to be then there's this thread :D, however if you and/or others made a handbook it'd be awesome and I may have to praise you.

ToB for Dummies?

Anywho, I once started a Favored Soul Handbook and the unavoidable conclusion was that Cleric was better at 99% of everything. Anyone who thinks they're overpowered is deluding themselves.

the first cleric handbook is a link to the revenant blade handbook, you may want to fix that.

Anywho, I once started a Favored Soul Handbook and the unavoidable conclusion was that Cleric was better at 99% of everything.

While it's true that those glory hog clerics are indeed better than favored souls 99.99999999% of the time, I still think favored souls deserve a handbook. I mean druids are better than spirit shamans 99% of the time and spirit shamans have their own handbook (IMHO favored soul > spirit shaman but that's just MHO).

Dave your Favored Soul-zilla build was awesome. If you ever rethink of making a favored soul handbook I'll help anyway I can. I have access to the following books : Lords of Darkness, Fiend Folio (it's missing a few pages but I got it dirt cheap), Faiths and Pantheons, Complete Divine, Spell Compendium, Forgetten Realms Campaign Setting, Complete Warrior, Complete Mage, Dragon Magic, Draconomicon, Races of the Dragon, and COmplete Arcane.

Here is that post, seems more complete.

A thousand or so links organized into rough categories, sorted alphabetically or chronologically where appropriate... I don't really have the energy to make it pretty beyond that.

Heh heh, it's already in the list. I put it in other as it deals with a magic type rather than a specific class. Good work on it!

Don't get me wrong, your list is awesome and very complete and I think it's great you took the time to make it. Having made this thread now I'll probably keep updating it anyway, but I'll put a link to yours in the first post as it's got a lot of other stuff as well.

I mean druids are better than spirit shamans 99% of the time and spirit shamans have their own handbook (IMHO favored soul > spirit shaman but that's just MHO).

You don't want to underestimate the Spirit Shaman. They can have one spell more than you that requires concentrain active each round. They can cast metamagiced spells at a semi spontainous rate, which no other caster can do in the game. And then we are only talking about 2 of their class abilities.

Favored Soul better than Spirit Shaman? Well they do have access to Cleric spells. Druid spells get the job done though.

On the part of Druids are better than Spirit Shamans? Well, they have a Fighter add on from level 5 and full caster progression, they are better gish than most others with only one feat, how can anyone compare with that.

Fire hobgolblins get +2 to abilities which are all useful to a wizard: +2 con, +2 dex, +2 int, -2 cha along with fire resistance 5, low light vision, but no bonus to stealth skills... too bad they are an LA +1 race.
