Hello there,

I am creating a new cleric clvl 3 and I was wondering if you could give me some advice. We have a lot of melee chars in the party, and I want to take the Buffer/Caster role. I have read the Cleric Handbook and I was thinking about taking quicken spell and divine metamagic: quicken spell. I have 10 turning attempts due to the improved turning feat (nightsticks are not an option) and 16 Cha (38 point buy, hooray!). I will be able to quicken 2 spells per day.

Does it make sense for a lvl 3 char or is it a waste? What other feats should I consider?

Thank you in advance!

Since nightsticks are out, you might consider being an illumian with the NaenHoon sigils. They have an ability almost identical to Divine Metamagic, but it can be used with any metamagic feat you know, and it costs 1 less Turn attempt per use. You only get two uses per day, but with the limited number of turn attempts you're going to have, that probably wouldn't matter.

You'll also get some other minor boots like +2 to all wisdom, intelligence, and constitution based skills and ability checks, etc. They look like humans with glowing sigils above their heads, but you can turn the sigils off if you need to. (You do lose access to their abilities while they're off, though).

This thread might also be useful: brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.p...

This way, you can pick another useful metamagic feat later (like Chain Spell), and then go ahead and pick up Divine Metamagic (Quicken) later, if you somehow obtain more Turn undead uses. It just gives you more options. Of course, you might have other things you want to do with your feats, too. Tongue out

Meh, I forgot. She is a human, I can't change it. It's a background thing. Thank you anyway, Phaedrusxy.

By the way, I can't follow the link.

Stupid forums... every time I edit a post with a link in it, they screw up the link. Where is the "giant middle finger" emoticon? Yell I fixed it above.I'll try to refrain from editing that post again...
