| #1agarwaenimmortalMar 04, 2010 11:34:13 | Greetings! I'm playing a Neutral Evil Cleric of Velsharoon, and I'm aiming for a caster-type cleric, to get away from the typical melee clerics... My chosen domains are Magic and Undeath, and the stats are Str 8, Dex 16, Con 10, Int 10, Wis 15 and Cha 14 at 2nd level... I've chosen the Spell Focus (feat) because of the Prestige Class I'm planning on getting (Master of Shrouds) and Spontaneous Healer to heal the party (got the feat by only spending the ranks in Knowledge (religion))... Now, I've been checking the feats and there are a whole lot of them I'd like to take, but since they're limited, I'd like an opinion on the feats I should take (aside from the first ones, I'll get another 5, as we don't use flaws and the 6th remaining feat will have to be Augmented Summoning for the PrC)... Divine Metamagic Necromantic Presence Necromantic Might Profane Lifeleech Quicken Spell Reach Spell Extend Spell Fell Drain Fell Weaken Rapid Spell Invisible Spell I'll probably be surrounded by undeads, both corporeal and incorporeal... At the moment, I have 9 Rebuke Undeads per day, so... Any help will be thanked! ![]() |

| #3agarwaenimmortalMar 05, 2010 7:07:30 | community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758... Since I'm not planning on buffing myself with Divine Favor and whatnot, is there any sense in taking Persistent Spell? |

What about the Fell metamagic feats, are they worth it? And the Necromantic feats? |
| #6ashernMar 05, 2010 14:10:54 | Fell metamagic is useful, but highly situational. Unless you know for sure the types of enemies and encounters you'll be fighting, I wouldn't necessarily rely on it. That being said, some of the Necromatic feats from LM make your undead awesome. It's definitely nice when your zombie horde does extra cold damage, has better str and hp, and explodes when they die, healing other zombies as well. Also, if you take lord of the uttercold I believe it is, you can work it so that you can have alternate ways to heal them. Fun stuff overall. |

I think you might be right regarding the Fell metamagic... As to the Necromantic Presence and Necromantic Might, they'll apply to all undead, but other you spoke of will apply only to corporeal undead... Considering the Summon Undead spells will go up to 5th level only, are they worth it? By the way, what are the best creatures to summon as skeletons and/or zombies with Summon Undead I through V? |

I mean, you can bolster undead, which will kinda make Necromantic Presence worthless, and thanking 2 feats to give +2 enhancement bonus to attack rolls and saves... |
