| #1cfrMar 08, 2013 13:41:10 | I have a Neutral Good Aligned Cleric and my Cleric worships a Diety of Lawful Good Alignment. Does that mean I can only Cast Neutral, Good and Lawful Spells? Or what spell alignments can I cast? The PHB I is Vague on the topic. it says if i am not Chaotic then I cannot cast evil spells. This does not make sense. maybe I am not reading it right or understanding it right. I play out of the 3.5 rules. Can someone help me please? Thank you. |

The PHB is not vague at all on this - a cleric can cast any cleric spell so long as it does not have a descriptor that is opposed to his own alignment or to his deity's alignment. In your case, you're Neutral Good (Evil is opposed to this) and your deity is Lawful Good (Chaos and Evil are opposed to this), so you can cast any cleric spell that is not [Chaotic] or [Evil]. Where on earth did you find it saying anything of the sort like "if i am not Chaotic then I cannot cast evil spells"? |
