| #1ausrpgerJun 19, 2010 19:22:26 | Hi all, I've never done much CO before, I generally play a char for non-CO reasons. I'm kind of doing the same now, but I'd like a bit more CO. Essentially I'm playing a WG Ranger. I want at least 15 levels in ranger. The other 5 I'm undecided on. Here's are my current two choices; a) Ranger 1-6, Deepwarden 1-2, Ranger 7-11, DW 3-5, Ranger 12-15 b) Ranger 1-6, DW 1-2, Rogue 1-3, Ranger 7-15 For a) please assume I have the Stoneblessed (Dwarf) feat. DW 3-5 gives Stone Warden and Stubborn Mind. On the other hand Rogue 1-3 gives 2d6 sneak. This char will focus on 2-weapon fighting, with less dex and more con. Also assume we'll play "armour's MAX DEX also limits Con bonus to AC". Is the Stubborn Mind worth 3 levels of DW? Or would Sneak be better? Any other feats that are must? thanks in advance. ps: my other choice was Ranger 15, DW 2, Barb 3... but I don't want the 20% multiclass penalty. Rogue is a WG's favoured class, however. |
| #2WeezelJun 20, 2010 8:20:43 | community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758... Lion Totem Barbarian 1 / Scout 4 / Ranger 15 Whirling Frenzy acf for the barbarian level Feats (without flaws); 1 Extra Rage 3 Two-Weapon Fighting 5 Weapon Finese (scout bonus) 6 Swift Hunter 9 Improved Skirmish 12 Improved Two-Weapon Fighting 15 Greater Two-Weapon Fighting 18 Snap Kick Max out dexterity. Ends up with 7d6 skirmish damage and +7ac as long as you keep moving. Full attack on a charge with 5 additional attacks (twf, itwf, gtwf, whirling frenzy, snap kick). Only misses 1 bab so at 20th level you're throwing out 9 attacks on a charge. Also gets 4 favoured enemies and can apply skirmish damage to them even if they are normally immune (constructs, undead, elementals are all good choices). Should play pretty well at all levels, starts to kick it up a notch at 9th level. Hope that helps... |
