Hey all, I've got a bit of an odd request.

In Expedition to Castle Ravenloft, we have Sir Urik, last in the line of Knights of the Raven (Pal 4/Knight of the Raven 2).

Now..when I first introduced him (to people who know the campaign, at the Crossroads), he was fighting shadows, or some similar Wis-draining beasties, and reduced (in one round, I might add) to 0 wisdom from 14 (IIRC).

This clearly consists of epic fail.

As such, I'd like the help of anyone willing to optimize this guy just a bit. He's going to remain an NPC unless a player dies, so he needn't have the spotlight too much.

I'd like to add in a couple levels of knight as well, and give him a homebrewed feat:

Devoted Champion [General, Knight]
Your knightly training coincides with your vows for the greater good.
Prerequisites: Smite Evil 1/day, Lay on hands, Knight's Challenge, Fighting Challenge
Benefits:
Your Knight and Paladin levels stack for the purposes of Smite Evil attempts per day and bonus damage, the amount of damage healed by Lay on Hands, your daily Knight's Challenge uses, and the bonuses granted by any Knights Challenge abilities.
Special: A knight may take this as one of his bonus feats.

Also, I'd like to keep at least one level in KotR, for flavor reasons. I'd like him to be level eight, with the following stats:
Str: 17
Dex: 12
Con: 16
Int: 12
Wis: 14
Cha: 16

Books allowed are basically anything except ToB (I'm the DM), and anything from CrystalKeep or the SRD.

Thank you for your time.

Knight of the Raven is an amazing prc - why not just keep him in it? Its of course not going to help with wis-draining touch attacks (but neither will plain old knight), but your spells will be of benefit, as will the raven familiar.

Now, I haven't been in the campaign yet (don't spoil anything!) so I don't know what specifically went wrong there ...

Stick with knight of the raven it is sweet.

If you want him to be immune to undeadness I believe there is a feat that gives you immunity to abilitydrain/damage and /or energy drain by using turn undead uses. That should help your npc against the undead. I think that feat is in Librous Mortis but I am not sure.

I don't want to lose Knight of the Raven, I'd just like to add at least one knight level so I can stack it with Paladin for Knight's Challenge.

Just sort of wondering what the best combination was.
