Commanding Oozes

I had an idea for a character and i've been working on him today. Probably won't play him but it's fun to build anyway. The idea is to create a "filth" caster who does gross stuff- not blood and guts necromancy gross but trash and grime and bacteria gross. The character is a Goblin Cleric with access to the Slime and Pestilence domains. He's pretty much built just from those but I have a specific Idea which I need help acomplishing.

The Slime domain allows me to rebuke/command oozes, slimes, jellies, and the like. I imagined the character using some kind of Acid Resistance and Commanding an ooze to engulf his body as a sort of ooze juggernaut suit. Obvously i have to leave the head exposed to breath, command the oooze not to crush me, and the acid resistance should make it possible to survive long enough to use the idea but... I realized that most oozes and jellies have quite a few Hit Dice so I'm not likely to be commanding anything until high levels.

I'd like any ideas on how to ensure that I could command what few oozes i might come across at low-mid levels and have fun with them. I'd also like to know of any oozes/jellies that might be on the summon monster list. Lastly, if I do command an ooze, how long can I keep it under my command?

I already checked out Disciple of the Sun in Complete Divine; spend more turnings to destroy instead of turn. I could probably persuade a DM to allow an adaptation of that to apply inversely letting me command what I would otherwise rebuke. Failing that, what other options might I have?

Not a lot of things come to mind for summoning oozes.  Most of the things you can summon aren't oozes; even the spawn of Juiblex (from the Monster Manual 5) is actually an ooze-like elemental, though that does allow them to be called with spells like planar ally or planar binding).

On the other hand, there are at least two oozes that you can create yourself.  The bloodfire ooze entry (from the Monster Manual 4) includes a description of how to make one by cooking up a whole bunch of blood, while the engulfing terror spell (from Drow of the Underdark) allows you to create an uncontrolled gelatinous cube.  The spell is kind of weird, though, since it has a duration but doesn't seem to actually do anything since you don't control the cube and it remains until destroyed (maybe it just keeps it attacking for the duration even if it's not hungry).  The creation of bloodfire oozes may be a bit of a pain, but they do include built-in obedience to their creator and there doesn't seem to be any limit on how many you can make as long as you have the materials and XP.

If you want oozes with the split ability, you could probably make as many as you like by just hitting an ooze you already have with a piercing or slashing weapon, then healing the two oozes that result back to full hit points.  You just need to find one appropriate ooze to start your herd.

As for controlling them, you could take control of a more powerful ooze by hitting it with enervation or some equivalent draining effect until it has enough negative levels for you to command it.  It won't help with the level limit on the total Hit Dice you can command (the Slime domain is copying the basic cleric ability to rebuke or command undead), but it would allow you to have a bigger individual pet ooze.  I don't remember offhand if there's anything out there to increase your effective level for the purpose of commanding (and that isn't exclusively chained to undead).

Alright, thanks for pointing out the bloodfire ooze. I read over the PHB entry for rebuke/command but I'm not clear on how long I can maintain control of a commanded undead (ooze). Is the time unlimited?

You can update the Oozemaster from Master of the Wild into a 3.5 PrC
