Hey guys!
Need some help to optimize the Human Wizard 3/Masterspecialist 9 I'm building for a new setting.
The Attributes will be determined by the dice so I'm not sure what they will be. It should be save to assume a +3 intelligence modifier.

The specialisation will be Conjuration (Necromancy and Evocation will be dumped), additionally I'll take up the Alternative Class Features Focused Specialist (Enchantment will be dumped), Immediate Magic and Combat Mage (Improved Initiative).

That would be my feats:
1st Level: Spell Focus (Conjuration), Augment Summoning, Improved Innitiative
3rd Level: Imbued Summoning
6th Level: Metamagic School Focus (Conjuration)
9th Level: Cloudy Conjuration
I'm not sure what to take on Level 12, 15 and 18 and could need some advice here.

Additionally I don't really know what to take up after finishing Masterspecialist. Thought about Archmage but would have to choose another Spell focus. I don't really have any other ideas

Another problem would be that this is my first arcane spellcaster and I have some problems with the selection of new spells at Level Ups. Right now I'd choose the following, but I'm not really sure if that is anywhere near the optimum.
1st Level: Shield, Mage Armor, Summon monster I, Lesser Orb of Fire, Detect Undead, Identify, Disguise Self, Expeditious Retreat
2nd Level: Summon Monster II, Baleful Transposition, Mirror Image, Knock
3rd Level: Summon Monster III, Greater Mage Armor, Phantom Steed, Fly, Haste
4th Level: Dimension Door, Evard's Black Tentacles, Summon Monster IV, Unluck, Phantaplasmal Killer
5th Level: Baleful Polymorph, Cloudkill, Summon Monster V, Teleport
6th Level: Repulsion, Acid Fog, Summon Monster VI, Wall of Iron, Eye of Stone
7th Level: Energy Immunity, Summon Monster VII, Greater Teleport, Greater Arcane Sight
8th Level: Mind blank, Maze, Summon Monster VIII, Greater Shadow Evocation
9th Level: Time Stop, Summon Monster IX, Sphere of Ultimate Destruction, Summon Elemental Monolith, Foresight, Mordekainen's disjunction, Refuge, Superior Invisibility

wiz 3/ master spec 10/ malconvoker 7.

Its 7 levels long and awesome.

Quicken and extend spell are nice metamagic feats. Augment summoning is fairly solid. Greater spell focus is never bad, and spell focus (something else) can't hurt.

First off, check out Treantmonk's Guides as they're a wealth of information.

Also, are you absolutely sold on Conjuration?  Granted, the Initiate of the Seven Fold Veil gets plenty of love, this isn't a bad option.  Something like Wizard 3 / Master Specialist 10 / IotSFV 7 would be excellent.  Not too many play specialized Abjurers, but it is a fun route.

If you do decide to stick with Conujration, Evocation is a great school to give up (you can still use Illusion to cast all your Evocation spells).  I personally like Necromancy (Waves of Exhaustion and Enervation are favorites), but it is a good school to drop.

Also check if you'd be able to pick up Abrupt Jaunt.  Most games I've played in, the DM typically vetoed it, but it never hurts to ask as it's an amazing get out of jail free card.

For specialized summoning, Krusk is on the money.  Malconvokers are flat our awesome (both fluff and cruch) and a great experience to have fun with.

Mastering the Malconvoker is another guide that can help you select spells and feats should you go that route.

I like the idea and I'm considering it indeed!

Quicken and extend spell are nice metamagic feats. Augment summoning is fairly solid. Greater spell focus is never bad, and spell focus (something else) can't hurt.

I'm considering Extend spell as a viable feat but would prefer rapid spell over quicken spell. As you can see I get Augment summoning at level 1 and greater spell focus (conjuration) is given throught Master Specialist. I think Malconvoker is a better choice than Archmage what makes a secondary spell focus senseless. So with say rapid spell at level 12 I've still 2 feats to choose... Some more ideas would be nice.

Thanks, they help a lot indeed. I'll look over my spell list again and update it with the knowledge of these guides. I'll ask you guys later if I'm missing something.

I definitly want to play a Conjurer, sry. But would be a great idea otherwise.

Thanks! I'm totaly sure to drop the following schools: Evocation, Necromancy and Enchantment as stated in the opening post.

Also check if you'd be able to pick up Abrupt Jaunt.  Most games I've played in, the DM typically vetoed it, but it never hurts to ask as it's an amazing get out of jail free card.

Should be allowed and taken (as stated in the opening post). If by any means not I'd take Rapid Summoning and skip the Rapid spell feat.

For specialized summoning, Krusk is on the money.  Malconvokers are flat our awesome (both fluff and cruch) and a great experience to have fun with.

At the moment I'm thinking the same and I guess this would be the PrC I take if there are no more ideas from you guys.

Mastering the Malconvoker is another guide that can help you select spells and feats should you go that route.

This guide uses a different version of the malconvoker (9 level PCR) than my group does (7lvl PCR), therefore I'm not sure how much to trust this one. But it reminded me of taking Rapid Spell as a feat because of my lack of rapid summoning.

Shadowcraft Mage from Races of Stone is phenomonal.

I apoligize. I didn't really put a lot of thought into the response outside of malconvoker. Your feats are pretty open as a wizard, especially a conjurer, because you will very powerful even if you pick bad ones.

I'll be looking into Shadowcraft mage later, thanks for the advice.

Featwise I'm thinking of: Rapid Spell, Sculp Spell and Extend Spell as my last choices but I'm not very sure if that's okay...

And the spells to choose would look like the following. Am I missing anything great? As I said never played an arcane caster before but used Treantmonks guides to create this list.
1st Level: Shield, Wall of Smoke, Benign Transposition, Grease, Detect Undead, Identify, Silent Image, Neverskitter
2nd Level: Glitterdust, Web, Invisibility, Detect Thoughts
3rd Level: Summon Monster III, Greater Mage Armor, Phantom Steed, Fly, Haste
4th Level: Dimension Door, Evard's Black Tentacles, Summon Monster IV, Greater Mirror Image, Unluck
5th Level: Telekinesis, Cloudkill, Wall of Stone, Teleport
6th Level: Greater Dispel Magic, Tunnel Swallow, Freezing Fog, Gemjump, Eye of Stone
7th Level: Energy Absorption, Summon Monster VII, Greater Teleport, Elemental Body
8th Level: Mind blank, Maze, Summon Monster VIII, Greater Shadow Evocation
9th Level: Time Stop, Towering Thunderhead, Teleportation Circle, Summon Elemental Monolith, Obedient Avalanche, Shapechange, Maw of Chaos, Absorption

Edit: Won't take Shadowcraft mage, had a gnome as my last character with that group and just want to play s.th. else.

I was always a fan of Summon Golem  (PHB2), myself...

And Vortex of Teeth (Spell Compendium).  Giant vertical cone of force damage...

Summon Golem is indead a great idea. I'm thinking of replacing Obedient Avalanche with it.
Vortex of Teeth seems also to be a great spell but it belongs to evocation which I dumped.

Some advice for the lower and mid level spells would be great!

Any of the Orb speels, especially Force.  Any of the Wall spells.  And any of the Cloud/Fog spells.

Not that I'm saying it doesn't work mechanically, but the idea of how summon golem is supposed to work kind of bugs me.

Sure, it doesn't allow spell resistance (which is really because it doesn't apply magic directly to anyone at the caster's location), but it's kind of hard to explain how something that forcibly drags a creature to you and compels it to serve isn't directly applying resistable magic to a creature that resists almost all direct magic.  At least when you're summoning creatures with non-infinite spell resistance you can assume that you only reeled in an individual whose resistance you were able to beat.
