| #1dredokApr 07, 2008 14:36:37 | Hi guys, I was hoping that you could help me out. I have been looking for the rules to this but I’m still unable to find the. when crafting a construct is there a way to craft an exceptional construct with higher stats or other abilities? is there any place where it really gets into construct creation? I’m playing a dwarven artificer in forgotten realms (my DM allowed the class cross over from eberron) who is going to specialize in constructs and I’m looking for any help you can give me. thanks much all |

If they get a size bump (for example, if you craft a 19HD Clay Golem, see their "advancement" entry to know when they get size increases), then their market price goes up another 50k. You can likely add another +1 bonus to an ability score for each 4 HD (at the very least to either Strength or Dexterity) and their abilities also go up when their size increases according to the table in the MM. For most everything else, such as effigy creatures, they follow their own rules if it is possible at all. Beyond that, there isn't much. There was a Dragon issue somewhere that had add-ons that you could give to constructs you built, most notably a "Rudimentary Intelligence" upgrade that gave them an Int score (and, more importantly, feats). It was remarkably cheap for the effect, as well. |

What I’m hoping that you can help me out with are rules for creating custom constructs. I have a few ideas for things I want to make but they are not in any MM. also could you tell me where I can find the construct add-ons for extra arms, wings, intelligence, ect. Thanks so much for any help you can give me. |
