| #1DelandelFeb 06, 2009 19:49:45 | Hey everyone, I have a new 3.5 campaign coming up. The DM is still deciding what level it will be, but he wants it to start anywhere between lvl 6-12. This time around I'm looking at online sources to see if there are wonky, fun, original builds out there that I could try out. The character concepts themselves is the most important part to me, but I also like to optimize as best as possible while maintaining the concept. My first idea was to play a class that could effectively use an army of squirrels in battle. I always pictured a deranged druid hermit sending a bunch of buffed up magical squirrels to rip an opponent to shred, or send them with fireseeds in their mouths to explode. Could someone tell me if this idea is at all possible? If so, what feats/classes/spells should I be looking out for? Secondly, could people suggest to me or link to me some fun / creative builds that fit my level criteria of 6 - 12? Books: All WoTC books except for Eberron and Faerun specific material or psychic stuff. Level: 6 - 12 |

| #4metagonFeb 07, 2009 13:09:44 | I seem to remember a build based around the commoner chicken-infested flaw. I can't find the link though. |

| #6jameswilliamogleFeb 07, 2009 17:40:00 | Why not play a Squirrel, instead, and have humans as your pawns? Anthropomorphic Squirrel Enchanter? Awakened Squirrel Enchanter? |
| #7emyFeb 08, 2009 1:45:50 | Why not play a Squirrel, instead, and have humans as your pawns? Awakened Squirrel 3/Telepath 5/Psionic Adaptation Mindbender 1/Thrallherd 10/Elocator 1? I'm not sure what happens to the squirrel's partial hit die when it gets awakened. |
| #8psorowmanFeb 08, 2009 3:03:15 | I seem to remember a build based around the commoner chicken-infested flaw. I can't find the link though. I don't know the exact build, but I can tell you the gist of it. Its based around a flaw the Wizards(I think) came out with for April fools: Every time you draw your weapon, there is a 50% chance it will be a live chicken instead. The build used several methods to let you draw and sheave your weapon quickly so as to maximize the number of chickens created. Then it was a matter of a nice fireball, and voila! Roasted chicken for sale. The number of chickens made out of the air would cripple the chicken market, but that character didn't care. |
| #9ionFeb 08, 2009 8:01:08 | You could try playing a bard inspired by this guy, and add +10d6dmg to your squirrel's attacks. |
| #10oprickFeb 08, 2009 8:01:57 | you could go swarmshifter and turn into the swarm of squirrels! |
| #11winternachtFeb 08, 2009 9:51:48 | Here is also a nice animal variant within. |
