I have been given the opportunity to play a ECL 12 campaign where all characters come from a monestary (and have good reason to be there) and I decided to play a pixie rogue.

Allowed books core, complete series, BOVD, BOED, ToM, ToB, HoH, EPH, CPsi, UA, OA, PHB II, RotW, Cityscape, Frostburn, Sandstorm, Planar Handbook, SpC, MIC, AEG, any eberron books besides faiths of eberron and city of stormreach, and any forgotten realms books besides power of feyrune, and possibly more that I couldn't remember from my desk ;) .

The DM frowned on feats last time, but allowed me one, which I declined, but I will see if I can take at least one this time around.
We were also allowed 1 item of up to 81,000 GP value and 20,000 GP for whatever else we could want, anything is accepted.

Here's my build
LN Pixie Rogue 7/Shadowdancer 1/Rogue 3/Exemplar 5 (total ECL 20)

Feats
LVL 1: Point Blank Shot (PHB)
LVL 1 (Flaw: slow): Precise Shot (PHB)
LVL 3: Bowslinger [General, Fighter] (Und p24) Base Attack Bonus +1
+2 bonus on your attack roll when you fire or throw a ranged weapon at a Flat Footed opponent
LVL 6: Flyby Attack
LVL 9: Deadly Precision (XPH, Reroll 1’s)
LVL 12: Craven? (+1 per HD to sneak attack)
Lvl 15: Improved Precise Shot (PHB)

Equipment:
Custom Item: Belt of +4 Int, Cha, and Dex enhancement bonus (the 81k item)
Ring of Silent spells (2000 gp, moreso for the free silence effect than the spells part)
Wand of Wraithstrike (4500 gp)

more stuff. will continue later, leaving work!

Rogue 3/ Beguiler 6/ Unseen Seer 7 HiPS can be achieved with a Collar of Umbral Metamorphosis (Tom), this build nets you decent amount of spells and Hunters Eye (PHB2) for even more sneak attack damage.
Otherwise for more damage output and decent rogue-ish skills (scout base anyways) how about a Swift Hunter build?
Also in Champions of Ruin is a prestige class called Justice of Weald and Woe which among other things gives you sneak attack, spells, hide in plain sight, and death attack without any alignment restrictions and is archery based. Something like Ranger 6/ Justice of Weald and Woe 10 would potentially be viable.
Any chance of getting Magic in the Blood for a first level feat for some crazy SLA abuse?

1. Ranger - Point Blank Shot, Magic in the Blood, Flaw: Slow
2. Ranger - B: Rapid Shot
3. Ranger - Precise Shot, B: Endurance
4. Ranger
5. Ranger
6. Ranger - Weapon Focus Longbow, B: Manyshot
7. Justice of Weald and Woe
8. Justice of Weald and Woe - B: Far Shot
9. Justice of Weald and Woe - Flyby Attack
10. Justice of Weald and Woe
11. Justice of Weald and Woe
12. Justice of Weald and Woe - Craven
13. Justice of Weald and Woe
14. Justice of Weald and Woe - B: Improved Precise Shot
15. Justice of Weald and Woe - Darkstalker
16. Justice of Weald and Woe

You could Champion of the Wild variant from Complete Champion trading the ranger spellcasting for the Improved Favored Enemy bonus feat. For favored enemy Arcanists from Complete Mage is always awesome. If you can't get Magic in the Blood bump up Flyby Attack to 3, Precise at 1, Craven at 9, and add in Deadly Precision or Nemesis at 12

Pixie
1. Rogue - Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Flaw: Slow
2. Rogue
3. Rogue - Craven
4. Beguiler
5. Beguiler
6. Beguiler - Flyby Attack
7. Beguiler
8. Beguiler - B: Silent Spell
9. Beguiler - Rapid Shot
10. Unseen Seer
11. Unseen Seer
12. Unseen Seer - Deadly Precision
13. Unseen Seer
14. Unseen Seer
15. Unseen Seer - Darkstalker
16. Unseen Seer

Quintessential rogue abilities (pick lock, sleight of hand, hide, search, disable device, spot, listen, UMD)

Moderate/high damage output, which I figured because of Pixie's low strength score is best achieved with ranged damage.

Ability to cast some spells for self buffs via UMD (Mage Armor, Wraithstrike, cat's grace, etc)

Rogue 3/ Beguiler 6/ Unseen Seer 7 HiPS can be achieved with a Collar of Umbral Metamorphosis (Tom), this build nets you decent amount of spells and Hunters Eye (PHB2) for even more sneak attack damage.

With this wouldn't I be limited to +2d6 SA damage? I must admit I hadn't looked at beguiler before, they have some awesome awesome class features, a decent spell list and rogue skill list. I may just have to try this build.

I had originally thought that to be a home brewed class, and had overlooked the thread. It would work, except that it's not what I'm looking for right now.

I didn't take Champions of Ruin off the list of available books because I'm not sure we have a copy in the group, but if it is, that prestige class sounds like what I was looking for in shadowdancer (I.E. hide in plain sight) without costing me SA damage. In other words I really really like that PrC, except if its not in our pool of books then we don't allow materials from that book. I cross my fingers.

I'll totally use Magic in the blood if the DM allows regional feats and ignores the racial prerequisites.

Thanks for the responses so far guys, I've been formulating a rogue-like character every campaign I've been in for like 4 years, but I always switch at the last second lol.

Rogue 3 - gives +2d6 Sneak Attack
Unseen Seer 7- gives +3d6 Sneak Attack (see Damage Bonus feature)
Hunters Eye spell (PHB2) - +1d6 Sneak attack / 3 caster levels (as gained from Unseen Seer. Unseen Seer boosts your CL for Divination spells, as in Hunters Eye, by two giving you a CL of 15 for it so +5d6)

= 10D6 +16 (Craven) sneak attack at level 16 (ECL 20)

Also don't forget to swap out Trap Sense (from Rogue level 3) for Penetrating Strike from Dungeonscape.
