OK I'm about to join a campaign at 11th level and they're in need of a tank type so i came up with this:

STATS: 18 16 14 14 12 10 to play with before racial, level and misc bonuses

warblade 1 weapon focus
warblade 2
warblade 3 power attack
warblade 4
warblade 5 iron hart (bonus)
warblade 6 combat reflexes
warblade 7
warblade 8
Crusader 9 stormguard warrior
Crusader 10
Eternal Blade 11

maneuvers

Crusader:
Foe Hammer (devo)
defensive rebuke (devo)
revitalizing strike (devo)
bone crusher (stone)
Lions Roar (white)
-----

2 stances
Tactics of the wolf (white)
Thicket of blades (devo)
-----

Warblade

1 at lvl 2 moment of perfect mind (diamond)
1 at lvl 3 wall of blades (iron)
1 at lvl 4 emerald razor (diamond) R
1 at lvl 5 iron hart surge (iron)
1 at lvl 6 insightful strike (diamond) R
1 at lvl 7 Lightning recovery (iron)
1 at lvl 8 Ruby nightmare blade (diamond) R
1 at 10th disrupting strike (diamond) R
----
stances

1 at lvl 1 Punishing Stance (iron)
1 at lvl 4 Stance of Clarity (diamond)
----

concentration 14
balance 14
tumble 12
and a couple more..

saves +16 +10 +6

What do you think?

Pretty much all books allowed, but I'd prefer to keep it to core, complete, bo9s ect...

Looks pretty good to me.

Although you're 1st Crusader stance has to be 1st level, so Tactics of the Wolf will need a downgrade I'm afraid. A novice item can get it you back tho if you like.

Anyway of getting a higher Int? Not for Eternal Training of course, but when you've got a spare swift action Defensive Insight and Tactical Insight are better than nothing, so may as well have a good bonus.

Also, I suggest Knowledge Devotion. It doesn't stack with Eternal Training, but that shouldn't be a problem as Eternal Training is better used as a source of maneuver refreshing imo.

Also, White Raven Tactics. Ideally on the Crusader recovery. Unless it's banned there is really no reason not to take it.

Agree; drop Bone Crusher.

Rarely is one big hit as useful as someone else just going again completely ... or lots of attacks.

I assume you're headed for Adamantine Hurricane, Time Stands Still, etc.?

Thanks for the tip on the stance, it's no great loss given I'm planing on being in thicket of baldes most of the time anyway, I forgot to mention I'm planing on useing a polearm of some sort (probably a glaive).

I also messed up my stats a bit I have 18 16 14 14 12 10 to play with before racial, level and misc bonuses, I'll adjust the opening post...

I'm not sure how i missed white raven tactics but I'll definately work it in.

On feats I'm having a little bit more trouble, the feats you sugested all seem like good ideas but I don't really have room for them, I was already trying to work in stand still with no luck. Is there anything in there I don't need?

Flaws?

Otherwise, Serpent Armour (Magic Item Compendium) grants you Combat Reflexes so that will free one up. I'd actually use that for Extra Granted Maneuver - speeding up your recovery by 1 round is very useful.

You actually don't want Knowledge Devotion yet. I'd probably take Robilar's Gambit at 12 and Knowledge Devotion at 15. Then quite likely Martial Study at 18 to grab an extra high level maneuver, or Defensive Sweep (PHB2).

Flaws are out and I'd prefer not to have to base me build around an item, especially when the item is leather amour (if i remember serpent amour correctly). Given I'm not sure what Knowledge devotion does but if i don't need it until level 15 I've got time to check it out...

thanks for your help.

Eternal Blade 13
Eternal Blade 14
Eternal Blade 15 Knowlede domain or defensive sweep
Eternal Blade 16
Eternal Blade 17
Eternal Blade 18martial training or defensive sweep

Aren't you getting multiclassing XP penalties with that build?

Or is this a one-shot character for one session only where that doesn't matter?

Most people here don't use multiclass XP penalities. I assume OP is doing the same

Yeah not playing with XP penalties, mostly because i could have made the build with a half elf and it would have been at least as good. Which my DM agreed was silly for Eternal Blade.
