Critique my spiked chain tripper

There are a number of spiked chain builds, tripping builds, or both. However many builds are meant for level 20, well beyond what most actual games ever reach. I want to be an effective battlefield controlling tank starting at level 4. Here is the best I can come up with for level 4, which happens to be core only for the first 3 levels. All suggestions for optimization are welcome!

[indent]Race: Human [needed for Bonus Feat]

Level 1: Monk(1)
Feat: Combat Expertise [needed for Improved Trip]
Human Bonus Feat: Dodge [needed for Defensive Throw]
Monk Automatic Feat: Improved Unarmed Strike [needed for Defensive Throw]
Monk Bonus Feat: Stunning Fist [use in "Stunning Blow" stunt in Exotic Weapon Master (CW) PrC]

Level 2: Monk(2)
Monk Bonus Feat: Combat Reflexes [needed for Defensive Throw]

Level 3: Fighter(1)
Feat: Exotic Weapon Proficiency (spiked chain)
Fighter Feat: Improved Trip [needed for Defensive Throw, and great on its own]

Level 4: Fighter(2)
Fighter Feat: Defensive Throw (CW)[/indent]

I hate to lose a BAB from Monk, but the Monk(2) dip gives me a 6 higher saving throw total over Fighter(2). More importantly it also gives three extra feats which are actually needed by the build. The build operates on 7 feats, all of which are obtained by level 4.

Combat Reflexes of course works well with a Spiked Chain, since with reach you'll get lots of opportunities. The build is designed to get Defensive Throw as soon as possible. Defensive Throw gives me a free trip attack if I'm missed, which I probably will be due to the AC bonus from Combat Expertise active. A trip attack only needs to hit their touch AC, which should counteract the to-hit penalty from Combat Expertise (and the actual trip check is only a STR check, which to-hit no longer affects). Once tripped the enemies are of course much easier to hit by me and the rest of the party.

Starting level 8 I can take the Exotic Weapon Master PrC (CW). The logical three stunts to take in it are Trip Attack [+2 to trips], Flurry of Strikes [extra attack], and Stunning Blow [use Monk Stunning Fist through weapon]. However what to do for levels 5-7 other than more Fighter levels? (They need to be full BAB to avoid delaying EWM.) Three levels of Duskblade seem to work well, where Duskblade(3) gives you the nice Arcane Channeling ability to automatically cast spells through weapon hits. Duskblade(2) also gives Combat Casting which is needed if I later do Abjurant Champion, which is a good way to progress Duskblade casting while picking up that PrC's goodies.

For gear I need light armor. DEX will be high to work with Combat Reflexes, and Duskblade(1) can cast without spell failure in light armor. STR is always important for a melee build, but isn't as important here as one might think. Trips again only need to hit touch AC, and then operate on STR checks, not STR itself. Hence the best gear isn't Gauntlets of Ogre Power (4000 gp for +2 STR, which is only +1 to STR checks). Better is Torc of the Titans (3300 gp for 3/day +5 to STR checks), and Brute Gauntlets (500 gp for 3/day +2 to STR checks), from MIC. Having +5 to a STR check is equivalent to +10 to STR itself! Another fun MIC item for this build is Belt of Growth (3000 gp to 1/day Enlarge Person on self) to get 20 ft reach!

[indent]Level 5: Duskblade(1)

Level 6: Duskblade(2)
Feat: Weapon Focus (spiked chain) [needed for Exotic Weapon Master]
Duskblade Automatic Feat: Combat Casting [needed for Abjurant Champion]

Level 7: Duskblade(3)

Levels 8-10: Exotic Weapon Master(1-3)

Levels 11-15: Abjurant Champion(1-5)

Levels 16-20: Not that the game will ever get this far, but what should go here if it did? [/indent]

If you grab Improved Init, you could qualify easily for Occult Slayer. Its a full BAB class that gives you some nice features, including eventual protection from all mind affecting spells. It doesn't advance casting, if that is your goal, but meh, that's probably not the primary goal of a tripper.

you might want to take a LA race with powerfull build.
like goliath or half giant. to my oppinion they are realy worth the base attack you lose.
