Jan 29, 2010 20:48:40 I am looking to make a character that can polymorph into an owl, cast irresistible dance, spider climb (or a similar ability), and cast maze (or use a similar ability). I do not need this character to be fully optimized. I would just like to make this character at low of a level possible. Maze and Irresistible Dance are high level spells and I was wondering if there was anyway to use these earlier. I'm trying to make this character as low as a level possible without access to piles and piles of gold.

Jan 30, 2010 12:07:08 Wizard 15 would be the obvious choice. Artificer could probably access the spells sooner.

Addendum: 30-01-10, 13:18, -8 GMT, I can't remember if there is a ruling that doesn't allow the Wizard to learn spells above what they're able to cast.

Nightmare Spinner PrC (CM) doesn't designate that the Bonus Spells it grants at first level have to be what you are able to cast.

Dragonwrought Kobold abuse.

Ur-Priest, Blighter (crap?), Apostle of Peace (crap?), 2/1 spellcasting progression classes. High UMD Artificer (emulation)? Eldritch Corruption (HoH).

addendum 2: re: Polymorph into a creature that has a high spellcasting stat and use their spells: Mulhorandi Divine Minion template + Master of Many Forms PrC, unless Wildshape doesn't grant you the new form's extraordinary special attacks (i.e. spellcasting).

addendum 3: Regain spells per day as two free actions using the MDM template + MoMF...

Feb 01, 2010 11:38:36 Well... a Pixie with the Divine Minion template could probably get you Otto's Irresistable Dance and wildshape into an owl. If you talk to the DM about dropping the wings and invisibility, that should shave off a bunch of the LA. Then give it some Slippers of Spiderclimbing.

I checked, none have the Owl form.
