I've got a question, I spend most of my time in 4e, but I'm curious about something. I'd like to create a 3.5 character that is as useless as possible by the RAW. Bonus points if you can make it insanely survuivable (so that the character can be useless longer), but useless for anything other than simply standing there and refusing to die.

I'm really looking forward to this. I think 3.5 has a lot more room for this kind of thing than 4e does.

Where's the chicken-infested commoner with all levels in survivor and all feats to that DR feat? Think he had a BAB of 4 and DR of about 30.

Fighter 20

... or Dwarf Fighter 20.

**

Wilder 20 with the Mind's Eye Mantled version, but not the Ardent Sub Powers thingy; and not the Educated version.
Vigor + 10 bad power choices + all psi feats
would be a giant pile of hit points,
full casting as nerfed as possible,
dazed every 3rd round if you actually use the classes main ability.
Tier 5 or 6 if the forced power selection is really that bad.

A Vow of Nonviolence Warhulk? It would not be able to use any skills and with the Vow of Nonviolence feat he wouldn't be hitting anybody. Give him some Mechanus Armor, with defending armor spikes, an animated tower shield, 2 defending weapons, and as many useless feats as possible (all feats Toughness?).

The only uses I could see are opening doors and scaring people by being bigger than them, oh and not dying.

I created one character in particular that was utterly useless. He was a Psion with the Seer discipline. For fluff, I made him blind. He basically used all his known powers to make up for his blindness, actually making him quite more perceptive than anyone else when fully buffed up. But he couldn't do anything, and since a Psion has low skill points and weak physical capabilities (low HD, Fort, save Ref save and BAB), he was pretty useless.

He wasn't that survivable either, but that could be adjusted with the right powers.

Basically, just make your character blind, and you'll see how surprisingly useless he becomes, whether he tries to make up for his blindness or not... ;)

Why do you want to do this though lol?

commoner with the pig ridden feat(same mag as chicken infested) always forced to carry a max load pig... if he drops it it turns into a nasty demon thing... paired witht the unimportant npc flaw... he doesn't have a name and doesn't go in initiative... destined to stand there... carrying a pig... his entire life... useless
