I want to fire from so far away while hidden that you never see it comming or see me
I can have up to +2 la and three feats and i am at level one thanks

Aug 19, 2012 2:33:06 As is often the case, spellcasting can cover most of that pretty easily (range, damage, detection of targets, and stealth), but it depends on how early you need it, and how far away from your target you consider to be far enough. One of the big advantages for spellcasters is through the use of spells with a "Long" range (or longer), since they can strike from over 400 feet away without any direct penalties for range, unlike most ranged weapons.

The exact use of the +2 LA depends on which particular method you choose. It changes dramatically if you prefer to avoid relying on spellcasting, for example.

Aug 19, 2012 6:53:13 Ranger or scout, or aim for both with the Swift Hunter feat. Exotic weapon proficiency (greatbow) or (daikyu). Take Far Shot (Races of Stone, iirc) and use either a +Dex race like elf or a Powerful Build race (Half-giant, Goliath, and Eneko are the only ones I can think of) for the ability to use Large weapons.

It's all about getting the absolute maximum distance from your bow, allowing you the ability to eventually get fifteen range increments at reduced range penalties, or to even take a full round action to just ignore all range penalties. Seems like it's what you are looking for, you'd need a way to get damage bonuses... maybe Peerless Archer or just Hank's bow... either one let's you 'power attack' with a bow

Possibly even with a dragonbone version of the energy bow, since it's fundamentally a composite bow.
