#1 ion May 25, 2008 3:00:00	We are about to play an anything goes 15th level gestalt one-shot game with evil characters. (All books and such allowed, can take two prestige classes at once.) I don't know what my stats are yet, but we can assume they will be good enough. My original thought was to play a character who originally considered himself an assassin, but while doing his job fell in love with death. (Not the act of killing someone, but the anthropomorphic personification of death.) I stumbled upon the wikipedia article for Thanos, and love the idea of his relationship with Mistress Death. I think the character probably became a phantom after kissing death. I've been ruminating on an idea for a build and would appreciate any input you have. For our purposes, lets assume that the phantom template has an LA of 2, and that an arcane domain from a domain wizard is equivalent to having the magic domain for the purposes of Dweomerkeeper prerequisites. I'm toying around with the following idea: Phantom LA 2 / Crusader 3 / Ur-Priest 1 / Dweomerkeeper 9 // Wizard 5 / Incanatrix 10. (The Crusader levels could probably be replaced with anything with a good fort save.) I'm pretty sure combining Dweomerkeeper and Incanatrix is pure insanity, (even though it sucks I won't have access to Cloak of Mysteries.) Any thoughts on what some must have spells are? or what I should make my Mantels? or what equipment is required? (besides some awesome spellcraft item.)

#3 phoenix00 May 29, 2008 0:56:03	Wizard 5/Mindbender 1/X 2/Tainted Scholar 8// Arcane Erudite 7/Subverted Psion 1/Arcane Erudite 7 Subverted Psion makes you immune to taint effects. Can have up to severe taint before cap kicks in (which is in the 50s to 90s) Tainted Scholar makes your dcs based off corruption (fort), and your bonus spells off deprativity (wisdom). Also gives you 4 bonus feats from taint. Elf Generalist with Elven Subsitution open for hummingbird, for the +8 init bonus. Reflavor it as raven. The feat for Subverted Psion gives you +2 init. Improved Initiative gives +4. Primal Instict spell gives you +5 competence bonus that last for 24 hours. (make sure to always have the primal line and the heart line of spells always up.) Together that is a total of +19 to initative. Don't like your spell selection, then use Rary's Arcane Conversion from Complete Mage. Wizard 6 spell that swaps out any prepared spell for another one of same level or lower in your spell book. (You can have multiple spell books). Use arcane erudite to prep this spell and use it unlimited times per day. Also Tainted Scholar effectively gives you free metamagic with a wand of lesser restoration (restoring the con damage for free metamagic). Abusable for near infinite spells with this trick and heighten. And unlike the undead tainted scholar, it isn't a questionable rules interaction (for HoH says undead have a fixed taint).
