Dex-Based Telepouncer?

Greetings CO, I'm getting ready for a campaign next year, levels 5 through 20, with the interesting DM specification of "Any 6 "sources" allowed". Because of this unique requirement, I thought I would try making a Jaunter/teleporting dex based fighter build much like "The Transporter", but obviously nowhere near as optimized. I'm just not sure if I'm creating the character to its full potential, so I thought I'd ask for some help..

Here's the rub:

Any 6 sources allowed
30 point buy
Normal Magic/Variable wealth
Starting level 5 with 9000 gold BUT I have to pay for 3 plane shifts from a wizard to qualify for the plane requirement of Jaunter.

Here's the build idea I have so far:

First, the Sources: d20SRD (It only counts as one source according to the DM), Complete Warrior, Expedition to the Demonweb Pits, Unapproachable East, Magic Item Compendium, (Tome of Battle maybe?)

Race: Human
Warrior 1/Swashbuckler3/Jaunter 4/Tenflammar Shadowlord 4/Dervish 8

Beginning stats:

Str: 12
Dex: 15 (all points at lvl up)
Con: 14
Int: 16
Wis: 10
Cha: 8

Feats lvl 1: Dodge, Mobility, Sneak Attack +2d6 (Shaky flaw)
lvl 2: Weapon Finesse (Swashbuckler 1)
lvl 3: Spring Attack
lvl 6: Blind Fight
lvl 9: Two Weapon Fighting
lvl 12: Weapon Focus Scimitar
lvl 15: Quicken SLA DDoor
lvl 18: Improved TWF!?!

I'm really not sure about the last 8 levels or so of the build, so I thought I'd ask for help. One variant build I came up with, which has lower BAB and gets into all the teleporter shenangians a little later, was:

Swordsage1/Warrior 2/Cobra Strike Monk 2/Jaunter 4/TSL 4/Swashbuckler 3/Dervish 4; this one gets into everything later, but with more feat freedom, and a delay on the + int bonus the swashbuckler would give, but it trades that for the Swordsage's dex to damage, of course.

My goals for the build are:

Effectively make a dex-based fighter
Use the teleporting/shadowpouncing combination to max effectiveness
Be playable at all levels
Get into Jaunter/TSL with the best combination of timeliness/effectiveness.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for all of your help!

Conjurer 1 with abrupt Jaunt can teleport as an immediate action a number of times per day equal to his intelligence modifier.

Oh, my fault, sorry; If I recall correctly, that variant isn't allowed, I'll go ahead and list the house rules relevant to character creation:

PrC's/Character classes use a "fractional" system (so wizards, for example don't end up with crappy fort and ref and then AMAZING will saves if they multi/prestige class a bunch)

You can use Quick Draw a number of times equal to number of attacks +dex mod

Clerics, Druids, and wizards don't gain bonus spells for primary spellcasting stat
Wizards and Sorcerors do not gain familiars, thus cannot take familiarless variants

Druids and clerics must take UA spontaneous variant, Clearics only get greater power of 1 domain, Clerics are only proficient in deity's favored weapon, and armor proficiency varies based on nature of their god (IE, light for a healing god, heavy for a god of war, etc)

Druids cannot cast spells while wildshaped, Wildshape is a full round action, Druids do not gain 1000 faces, Druids only gain immunity to natural poisons at level 9

With the MiC, you can just buy the Gloves of the Balanced Hand, and drop Improved TWF.

Thanks for the good item suggestion, I'll be sure to keep them in mind; does anyone have any thoughts on the build? I feel lost for about the last 7-8 levels of the progression.

How about Swordsage for Shadow Jaunt and Stride to add more pouncing into the build and give you access to Shadow Blade and Gloom Razor feats? Maybe finish up the last two levels of Telfammar and then Swordsage 6?

So, the final build would be something like
Warrior 1/Swashbuckler 3/Jaunter 4/TSL 6/Swordsage 6, that means I have;

7th level maneuvers (just enough for shadow blink)
16 BAB
+Dex, Int Str to damage
3x full attacks/ for 1 round in an encounter

Feats: As above, but with Quicken SLA DDoor moved to lvl 12, then Shadowblade/Gloom Razor at 15 and 18.

...That doesn't seem bad at all actually.

Though, I'm considering making it SS 8 rather than 6, but I don't know if 8th level maneuvers would be worth it at that point. SS also has the added benefit (besides the ones mentioned) of giving an extra +2d6 to sneak attack on top of the 2d6 given by the generic class warrior special ability.

My only issue with the build is that it's very feat intensive in the early levels, which can be offset by taking two levels of either Martial or Cobra Strike monk to nab free Dodge and mobility, but then I lose out on a much needed BAB and earliest-entry, so I don't know if that's actually worth it.

do you mean "Warrior"(Generic Class from UA) or "Fighter" for your first level?

I mean warrior; if I'm not mistaken, it's one of the best ways (if not only way) to get a full BAB class that can get 2d6 sneak attack, for early qualification in both Jaunter and TSL. It's a modification from your presented "quickest path" to Jaunter in the transporter thread, but I actually use the human bonus feat rather than allowing for 'any race' in order to meet the prereqs. :D

The warrior also allows me to take Knowledge: The Planes as a class skill as well, so that's where it also comes in handy (The alternative being two levels of planar ranger and another level in Warrior/Fighter for TWF, knowledge planes, and the loss of int to damage)

That is, assuming I'm doing it right.

For the above build, I could put less an emphasis on intelligence and go with:

Planar Ranger 2/Warrior 2/Jaunter 4/TSL 4/Swordsage 8, for quicker access to TWF in exchange for finesse (which can be got by bonus feats anyway) and int to damage, but I don't know which would be better; I suppose the TWF, when added with the sneak attack and the increased strength I would get from dropping Int, may be a little better. Then there's the Fighter 2/Warrior 2 avenue for even less feat dependency.. :D

Hmm... that does open up some possibilities, doesn't it?

it would be great if only they were allowed to be used together.... notice:

GENERIC CLASSES

The variety of class options available to characters can seem overwhelming. Though that variety can lead to interesting and exciting combinations, a game master who desires to run a simpler campaign (while still allowing for character variety) can use these "generic" character classes in place of the standard character classes.
The three generic classes here - warrior, expert, and spellcaster - cover the common roles of a group of adventurers. (Despite sharing names with NPC classes, the warrior and expert presented here are very different from those classes.) But despite these classes' basic approaches to character building, each one allows a wide variety of archetypes through the selection of skills and feats.

If you use these generic classes, you shouldn't also use the standard character classes (or variants of those classes). You can still include prestige classes, if you wish to add that level of complexity to your game, but you may have to tweak some prestige class prerequisites that include class features not available to these classes.

depending on how the DM rules "Standard classes" = Core Base Classes.... it should be ok... if it refers to all Published Base Classes... you will have to Adjust it a little... check with your DM as to which he applies it to

if you use the Generic Warrior but using Generic classes instead of Core classes only... id say try this:

Warrior 4/Jaunter 4/TSL 4/Swordsage 8

if using the more restrictive ruling(which eliminates Swordsage).... just do this:

Ranger 3/ Fighter 2/ Jaunter 4/ TSL 4/ Horizonwalker 7
not in that order...

I like the way the last build plays out, but I don't really like how it doesn't play towards the strengths of the build, in that there's no way to particularly get dex to damage. Thus, I was considering this build (which, according to the way I read the generic class rules, shouldn't be stopped):

However, I suppose I could drop the high int, and go for high strength instead; in which case, Warrior 4/Jaunter 4/TSL 4/Swordsage 8 looks like a good idea. :D

to get Dex to Damage.... there are many ways... here is an Easy one with:

Ranger 3/ Fighter(Hit-and-Run Sub lvl) 2/ Jaunter 4/ TSL 4/ Horizonwalker 7

Hit-and-Run Sub lvl gives Dex to Damage vs Flatfooted opponents.... you could also add these feats:

Martial Study(Shadow Hand manuver... Shadow Blink would be good)
Martial Stance(some Shadow Hand Stance)
Shadow Blade.... gain Dex to Damage with Shadow hand weapons

However, I suppose I could drop the high int, and go for high strength instead; in which case, Warrior 4/Jaunter 4/TSL 4/Swordsage 8 looks like a good idea. :D

just remember.... ALL Jaunter abilities are Dex Based... you could also do as above with this:

Swashbuckler 3/ Fighter(Hit-and-Run Sub lvl) 2/ Jaunter 4/ TSL 4/ Horizonwalker 7

use a Spiked Chain

Fantastic; but how does that get you the sneak attack requirement for TSL? Do you take it along with the Thug Variant? Even then, wouldn't you need 3 levels for +2d6?

Okay, so I think I have something that works, I decided to drop Swashbuckler because I'm limited to 6 sources, and with the Hit-and-Run variant, I'm over that limit (I chose D20 SRD, Tome of Battle, Expedition to the Demonweb Pits, Drow of the Underdark, Unapproachable East, Magic Item compendium)

Race: Drow (or lesser drow, if I can swing it)

Planar Ranger 2/Hit-And-Run Fighter 2/Swordsage1/Jaunter 4/Swordsage/TSL 4/Horizon Walker 7 the level of SS is there to be able to qualify for Assassin Stance at 9 since I'll have an IL of 5 at that point.
