Diopsid Jack Be Quick

Jun 25, 2013 21:15:42 It was brought up in Caelic's Jack Be Quick thread that a THW character would be better and I like to have my cake and eat it too. So here is my rendition of a THW wielding TWFer. Let me know of any ways to help improve this build. This character is also built using the assumption that Robilar's Gambit and Karmik Strike DO NOT STACK (DM said so) So I will auto report any discussion on that topic as trolling. Also ignored Defensive Throw as I see no need.

Diopsid Passive Way Monk 2/ Fighter 2/ Feat Rogue 2/ Cleric of Aengrist (War Domain) 1/ Psy War 2/ Fighter 4/War Mind 5/ Something 1/ or 2 if LA buyoff is allowed.

01: Dodge, Combat Expertise
02: Improved Trip
03: Combat Reflexes, Mobility
04: Elusive Target
05: Weapon Focus (Battle Axe)
06: Two-Weapon Fighting, Karmic Strike
07: Weapon Focus (Bastard Sword)
08: High Sword Low Axe
09: Sidestep, Double Hit (Improved Two-Weapon Fighting obtained through Gloves of the Balanced Hand)
11: Power Attack
12: Deft Opportunist
13: Two-Weapon Rend
15: Robilar's Gambit (Karmic Strike is kept to be able to negate successful attacks by sidestepping after her Sword-Axe-Trip-Sword attack sequence) this is here in case of a miss
18: Goad
20: Open to suggestion

If I missed anything as to why this build doesn't work please let me know.

Jun 25, 2013 22:27:48 You might be interested in the improved combat reflexes feat (Dragon 340, p87).

Jun 26, 2013 6:32:05 I would fit that in for my group but most groups don't allow Dragon stuff so I left that out. Too bad Decisive Strike doesn't work with the weapons necessary to make the build work. Otherwise that would be insane.

Jun 26, 2013 11:14:14 It's also debatable wether you can double hit with a double weapon. Also, high sword low axe doesn't work without aptitude enhancement.
