#1 kuroimaken Apr 14, 2008 17:54:37	Well, given the substantial amount of information on the CO boards, I'm making a new one in hopes of stickying it. The aim of this thread is to document all kinds of lovely abilities one gains from classes without staying too long in them, A.K.A. dipping. This thread classifies dipping in two levels: minor dipping and major dipping. Minor dipping: up to two levels at most, no matter how long the class/PrC is. Major dipping: up to four levels tops, three if the class has less than 10 levels. Classes with three levels or less are automatically considered minor dips. As a rule of thumb, the basic PHB classes are all considered great for minor dipping, and some of them are better for major dipping than others, due to the fact that most base classes are very loaded with class abilities at low level to increase survivability. The most iconic example of this is the Fighter, obviously. Before we begin, I'd like to certify there is no problem with posting random mentions of class abilities and their respective classes on a thread. I'm assuming not due to the CO library, but it doesn't hurt to be sure.

For example; every source of sneak attack and the levels you get it. Every source of evasion. Etc. etc. ... just do a search for the ability you want in the list and it will tell you where to get it from and what level(s) you get it.
#8 kuroimaken Apr 15, 2008 21:20:57	It is indeed VERY, VERY comprehensive. But I was thinking of something a little more... encompassive. Basically, trying to document certain "dipping tricks" such as the Sublime Chord's 1-level-dip-trick, or explaining to people why Ur-Priest is made of 19 different types of cheese. A lot of people seem to assume everyone ELSE is familiar with those tricks, but some of us (like me) have no clue!
