I know that if you are say, in darkness, or the effects of a darkness spell, you cannot be sneak attacked because the rogue can not pick out vital organs/spots on your body. Does this mean that everything that creates a miss chance does not allow you to be sneak attacked. Like the robe of greater displacement, provides a 50% miss chance.. Does this also mean no sneak attack? Couldn't the rogue still make out the vital spots on you body. Even though they are not technically in the spot he sees them, he still sees them perfectly. Displacement just states that your body is completely visible, but it appears to be somewhere within 5' of where it actually is. Thanks to whoever clears this up and I hope this isn't a super easy way to gank rogues |

It provides a 50% miss chance as if you had total concealment but the description also indicates that unlike total concealment, displacement does not prevent enemies from targetting the creature normally. Since the displaced creature can be targeted normally, it can be sneak attacked. Note also that since displacement does not provide actual total concealment and a displaced rogue does not automatically get sneak attack in all cases |

Anything that grants a Miss Chance doesn't. Concealment grants Miss Chance - all Miss Chance is not Concealment. |
