He's got a good deal more D&D experience than i, and despite my extensive gooling my last build wasn't up to snuff. Said character is now a bloody wreck, and i'm down to two more reincarnations before its game over. Thus i am here, requesting aid, so as i might make the most of my remaining rebuilds. The build is level 20. I'm thinking a divine caster, and ending up with some quantity of levels in storm lord for fluff reasons. I've done some research, and it seems like while the favored soul's spontaneous casting is handy, the lack of turning gimps him out pretty severely when it comes to turn/DMM shenanigans. What are peoples thoughts? |

Nothing amazing about its power level, mind you. But it's neat and flavorful. and yes, DMM is one of the most powerful paths a cleric can take. Optimizing your turn attempts for more DMM goodness can make you into an invincible monster. Dread Necro gets rebuke attempts, Eye of Horus-Re gets an extra pool of Greater Turning...there are others. I put together a thread compiling optimized turning.. lemme see if I can dig it up. This will allow you to do all the fun stuff of spontaneousness, have domains as bonus known spells, and turn undead cheese for the fun DMM persistent spell fun times. |
