| #1totenkinderJul 03, 2008 16:03:09 | Ok, so my other thread helped me decide on the idea I want for a character, now to refine it. This is the level 20 progression I came up for his levels. Rogue (Fighter Variant) 3/Fighter 2/Thief Acrobat 5/Invisible Blade 5/Reaping Mauler 5 Feats(For PrCs): Point Blank Shot (1st Bonus Feat) Far Shot (2nd Bonus Feat) Weapon Focus (Dagger (Kris)) (3rd Bonus Feat) Improved Unarmed Strike (4th Bonus feat) Clever Wrestling (Human Bonus feat) This is assuming the Kris is based off a dagger and not something like the barbed dagger from Complete Adventure. Also, as for ideas with him my DM is starting me off with 30k spending gold and I'm planning on giving him several grafts. |

| #3totenkinderJul 03, 2008 16:19:11 | 30K will not be able to get you grafts, just saying... I'm fully aware of that. The 30, maybe 50k is just starting money for gear. I'm planning on springing for a bag of holding and collecting the corpses of the encounters we actually have to sell to Necromancers, Fleshwarpers or something similar. That income, along with sleight of handing people out of house and home and treasure from the adventuring will cover my grafts. |
| #4totenkinderJul 03, 2008 16:34:55 | One of the grafts I was planning on was Vampiric Teeth, which is only 25,000. So yeah, I could afford one graft if I was spending the starting gold on it. |

| #6totenkinderJul 03, 2008 16:49:30 | You've discussed this with your GM? And you're prepared to play your guy evil? What does your party look like? CE Half Elf Rogue, LE Human Warmage, LE Human Fighter and NG Aasimar Swashbuckler. |
| #7captain_castleJul 03, 2008 21:21:23 | What does any of this have to do with Jason Todd? |
| #8totenkinderJul 03, 2008 21:32:26 | What does any of this have to do with Jason Todd? The class is my approximate build for Jason Todd. The rest is just flavor I'm throwing in to make him unique. |
| #9phoenix00Jul 03, 2008 23:29:17 | Reaping Mauler is a trap. Here is why (since you ask via pm) You need clever wrestling to get into the prc. If you lose the pre reqs of clever wrestling you lose the benefits of the prc. Clever Wrestling requires you to be size small or medium. Assuming Medium Size vs Large Opponent you gain +2 bonus from Clever Wrestling. Your opponent gets +4 bonus from being bigger than you. Eventually Reaping Mauler 4 makes this +4 vs +4. Assuming Medium Size vs Huge Opponent you gain +4 bonus from Clever Wrestling. Your opponent gets +8 bonus from being bigger than you. Eventually Reaping Mauler 4 makes this +6 vs +8 Sleeper Hold and Devastating Grapple has way too low of save dc. Counter Grapple is too situational. Freedom of Movement ruins your day. ---- Feat Rogue 3 is a dead level. All you gain from that level is skill points. Do Monk, psychic warrior, factotum, something else instead. |
| #10phoenix00Jul 03, 2008 23:32:40 | if your class abilities can be surpassed by drinking a potion of enlarge person that is saying something about how useful those class abilities are. now if the clever wrestling referenced size categories that are larger than yours (instead of being small/medium vs large and above) had no mandatory minimum size, and had the save dcs of sleeper hold and devastating grapple based off str instead of wis, then the class wouldn't be a trap. Freedom of Movement still sucks though. |
| #11totenkinderJul 03, 2008 23:38:10 | Reaping Mauler is a trap. Here is why (since you ask via pm) I know it's a dead level, but I took it for skill monkey reasons. Well, after seeing that I think I will drop Reaping Mauler. What would you suggest to replace those 5 levels? |
| #12r_r_raskolnikovJul 04, 2008 13:44:07 | Reaping Mauler is a trap. Here is why (since you ask via pm) If you wanna be grappler, kick the reaping and embrace the black blood cultist, that guy is a criminal, and freedom of movement can be owned with a dispelling weapon. |

| #14r_r_raskolnikovJul 04, 2008 15:03:36 | Black Blood cultist? prestige class of champions of ruin |
| #15totenkinderJul 04, 2008 15:06:12 | prestige class of champions of ruin Don't have that book. |
