Apr 01, 2008 14:14:26 Since this is for character optimization, I figured this was the appropriate board for it. If I'm wrong, please tell me and I'll post this elsewhere.

What I need is a class, varient or otherwise (in the forgotten realms) that has Good base attack bonus, and gives either power attack, cleave, or improved Bull Rush at first level, and that isn't fighter (I've already used fighter levels). Thanks!

Apr 01, 2008 14:32:32 Psychic Warrior pick anyone you like it gets a fighter bonus feat @ 1st & 2nd level and every 3 levels afterwards plus some good psionic powers. If you don't have the EPH check it out in the SRD

Apr 01, 2008 14:35:37 I know you are looking for good BAB, but if you are willing to make a sacrifice, feat rogue(UA IIRC) will get you a bonus feat at first level. And PsyWar is going to lose you 1 BAB also, but will give you a bonus fighter/psionic feat.

Well let's see since your character is a 5th level wizard whose feats are Skill Focus (Craft(basketweaving)), Militia, Weapon Focus (club) and Brew Potion I think Eldritch Knight will still work!

Apr 01, 2008 14:44:46 I think I messed up...I think it's called Perfect or Full base attack bonus. I need a one-level dip that gives me +1 Base attack bonus and one of those feats. Of all the times to regret not playing a Human.

Apr 01, 2008 14:52:18 I think one of the Barb sub lvls might give you Imp. Bull Rush, I think it was one of the totem variants in either UA or Complete Champion. But it looks like you are building a Frenzied Beserker, in wich case you should go for the Lion totem instead to get pounce.

If all else fails you can always sell your soul to an elder evil and retrain that feat through the Embrace/Shun somethin spell trick from Fiend Folio

Apr 01, 2008 14:56:25 I don't, but interestingly enough the Overwhelming Attack Combat Style Monk Variant (Unearthed Aracana) will give you Power Attack at 1st level and Improved Bullrush at 2nd level. It is 3/4 BAB, though; sorry. And I guess you could get the same thing from Psychic Warrior and get some psionic powers out of it, though the monk will let you get the feats without meeting the prereqs

As others have said, some idea of your current character and why you need these specific feats may be helpful.

Apr 01, 2008 15:04:33 Ok. My character is a Goliath Fighter who is rebuilding class levels to be able to enter Frenzied Berzerker for the Power Attack increasments, since the wording on the improved and supreme power attack do not look like they are multipliers. My current build looks like-
Barbarian 1 Intimidating Rage
Fighter 1 Power Attack
Fighter 2 Cleave, Destructive Rage
Fighter 3
Barbarian 1 (but looking for another class here)
Fighter 4 Leap Attack (Hoping for Shock Trooper)

There are like 3 different "Lion Totem" barbarians. The one that gives pounce is in Complete Champion.

That would allow me to get great cleave also, which means I can take Battle Jump at 9th level (thanks to the parties druid, who after losing points of con every time he cast a spell found a way ingame to make that not happen, and can cast Summon Natures Ally to summon a creature who I can jump off of to initiate a leaping charge)

Apr 01, 2008 15:48:02 I think so. Besides the powers (some of which are very nice), you can also qualify for Psionic feats. Psionic Charge is nice, as it lets you change directions while charging.

2 feats? +1(.5) BaB? yeah- that's just shy of normal Fighter there. Here's the big one:

Expansion- you are now large, with large weapons, +2 Str, and have 10 ft reach it's nice. better with grappling builds, but...

Choose whatever else ya want for your other power.

Bunch a good Psionic feats out there for ya.

--EDIT--
May want to consider 4 levels PsyWar. That would get you 2nd level powers, still -1 BaB from fighter (+3 instead of +4) and more power points per day. 8 levels is the next solid break point (IMHO), netting you a total of 4 bonus feats, 3rd level powers, and +6 (out of a possible 8) BaB.
Just looking ahead.

Free feats are broken. If he goes that far, why stop with only one or two feats? That's an endless loop if you know what you are doing and have the gold.
