Odd job, however, I haven't heard of. Knowing JJ it may have involved attacking with your own *head* (inside the hat). There are a few deformity builds that do that, in fact.

The Casio keyboard was just a warforged bard/crusader using Words of Creation, a way to be immune to/quickly heal nonlethal damage, and inspire courage bonuses. Add in some Song of the White Raven, Subsonics, and Melodic Casting. You only have the one level of Bard, but since you don't stop singing, like, ever ...

Also, a poster on one of those twin threads tried to email you through the email addressed linked in your profile on BG. He didn't get a response. Are you not using that email address anymore?
... and Oddjob was a Factotum who worshipped Elder Evils and either re-trained or Embrace/Shunned Chaos to get extra inspiration points, then nova'd them with wands (Whirling Blade to get Int and throw on a Manyfang Dagger for x4 damage).

Casio (quoted from the long-ago thread):
- Required Feats: Improved Resilience (1st), Melodic Casting (3rd), Words of Creation (6th), Skill Focus - Perform (9th), Song of the Heart (12th), Power Attack (15th), Lingering Song (18th). Now I could swap Song of the Heart and Melodic Casting, but I kind of like being able to keep my casting ability while singing all day (very sexy).
- The build progression, above and beyond the feats listed above, is as follows: Bard 9, Seeker of the Song 2, Bard 9.
- You end up with a +8 morale bonus to saving throws and a +8 dodge bonus to AC from inspire heroics, plus either a +10 morale bonus to attack and damage from inspire courage or an extra 4d10 HD, +4 competence bonus to attack, and +2 competence bonus to Fort saves. You have +14/+9/+4 BAB, and you can cast while your music is in effect. You have 6th level casting, base number of spells 4/4/4/4/4/3/2. You can sing ALL DAY LONG.
- And you're a medieval boombox bad*&^. 'Nuff said.
A note, here - if you have the feats, throw on Dragontuched and Dragonfire Inspiration to add tons of dice of damage. One more would get you Draconic Heritage, and let you go sonic for style points. Focused Performance, from Dragon #332, is an excellent choice to slam in there as well. There are also some feats out there that let you stack Inspire Courage effects with various other classes (Cleric, I think, off-hand, and maybe Paladin) which might be worth considering - tons of room to optimize here. As far as equipment, there's the Horn from Complete Adventurer, the Vest from MIC, and a Badge from the MIC, in addition to two spells that boost your bonus (one from SpC and one from Faerun).
Oddjob:
- This one doesn't work the way it used to. I'll give you a simple stub:
- Font of Inspiration as many times as possible.
- Get a Wand of Wraithstrike and a Wand of Whirling Blade.
- Get a Manyfang Dagger. If you're really picky, get yourself a Chakram or that razordisc from Frostburn (though it'll waste a feat - boo).
- The original build used Trickery Devotion's double to activate phantom doubles of your items that didn't use charges. You could also just do it yourself with your zillion standard action from the Factotum's 8th level win.
- Nova your actions to chuck your dagger as many times as possible, dealing quadruple Int + 4d4 in a 60 ft. line.
Though now, I'd do it a tad differently. Also, if one were to want even MORE feats, there's probably a way to this with Thrall of Demogorgon or another one of those "any feat" granting evil-worshipping classes.
