#1 Wyvernhand Apr 11, 2008 14:31:40	What are good forms to Alter Self into if you have the draconic subtype (such as from being a Silverbrow Human). I'd mostly be looking for good utility/defensive forms, although mobility forms would be convienient.
#2 aftercrescent Apr 11, 2008 14:38:51	RAW, silverbrow humans have the dragonblood subtype, not the draconic subtype. You don't alter self based on subtype, you alter self based on type, so you'd still be limited to humanoid types. If your DM rules differently, crack open Draconomicon or Dragons of Faerun or even the Monster Manual and have fun.
#3 Wyvernhand Apr 11, 2008 14:44:19	My bad...its been a while since I read up on Silverbrow Humans. For some reason I thought they had the full draconic shenanagans going on. How would dragonblooded vs draconic affect the feat Dragonfire Inspiration? Is that enough to change your elemental type to that of the silver dragon (cold)? Or would you be distantly decendant from silver dragons but inspire fire (the antithesis of cold) in yourself and your allies?
#4 aftercrescent Apr 11, 2008 14:51:08	RAW you still do fire damage with it, however, it's completely reasonable (i.e. point to the 'special' section of the feat) for your DM to rule that as a silverbrow you have silver dragon ancestry (duh) and would do cold damage...

Always wondered about this myself since the subtype "qualifies you to use all spells, items, etc as a dragon". AFB so the quote is as close I can get but I think it was much vaguer in wording.

The subtype qualifies a creature to use magic items normally only useable by dragons." Basically it lets you use some fancy items from Draconomicon in return hide from dragons works against you. Nothing really superb about the subtype. Meh.
#7 stickboy2323 Apr 11, 2008 16:50:15	You could play a dragonwrought kobold. They have the dragon type. There was a thread around a month or 2 or 3 back that dealt with draconic forms. I'll try to find it.

#10 sirlavandino Apr 11, 2008 19:00:14	shadow dragon wyrmlying : 4hd so u could use it with alter self... +7 NA +2 size 150 fly and other things ...this is the form i use often with my d.wrought kobold...but i'm a newbie i'm sure u could find some better ideas
