I was wondering if anyone knew of any home rules or updates to the 20 level Dragon classes in the Dragon magazine I mentioned in the title. As written the class is pretty good at dealing damage at low levels, although the real lack of armor class hurts quite a bit.

I think they did some other dragons in the same manner, but that's about it-- Dragon material never got much in the way of errata and corrections.  For the armor, you can always wear barding-- with their Dexterity, dragons aren't hurt much by full plate.

That's true.  I was actually hoping that someone might have done some homebrewed updates or maybe something with Pathfinder or even 20 level versions dragons other than Chromatic or Metallic.

I'm sure you can find something homebrewed.  There were bunches of savage progressions done for a variety of monsters back before the boards were updated.  Not sure if they're still available, but I'm sure you could find some of them with a bit of searching.  If you have Savage Species, it has the rules for creating them yourself too, so you could always try that if you have a specific one in mind.  All it really involves is taking the abilities the dragon gets for a given level adjustment and spreading them out appropriately along with the HD.
