#1 snorkasaurous Jun 20, 2009 16:59:46	I'm playing a straight druid who just leveled to 18th in a high level campaign. One of my fellow players is encouraging me to take the leadership feat. He has suggested that I get a 16th level Wizard/Master Specialist/Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil as a cohort so that the cohort can buff my animal companion with AMF using Extraordinary Spell Aim so that my and my cohort's buffs will stay on board. I've never used the leadership feat before or had a cohort. Does this make sense? How do I even go about getting a cohort--do I just get to make one up as he suggests? Snork
#2 emy Jun 20, 2009 17:55:28	Whether you can make one up like that or not depends on the DM. Leadership says this: A character can try to attract a cohort of a particular race, class, and alignment. So you could specify Human, Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil, and matching alignment. If you need your cohort to have Extraordinary Spell Aim, you could always buy him a psychic reformation. Of course, if your DM simply lets you build the cohort in the same way you'd build a player character, rather than doing it himself, you can just choose all the feats/spells/class progression.

Snork It's gonna be up to your DM. Also, make sure that you fully add-subtract all modifiers to your leadership score -- e.g., having an animal companion actually lowers your leadership score.
