Duskblade Optimization

Mar 17, 2008 20:04:18 So while fiddling around looking through my books I came across Duskblade (PHBII). "Gasp", said I when I saw a class which offered Armored Mage rather than just reductions of Arcane Spell failure.

So I went to work trying to think of a build. Unfortunately I'm not the best at Optimization so I look to you fellows for support.

What I would like to see is the ability to cast the 5th level spells from the Duskblade list, A focus on Battlefield Maneuverability (I would like to be able to get to the front lines fast and be able to support as well), and if theres room to spare, ability to slash things hard. Recommended Races would also be appreciated, though nothing too "out there" (my play group generally sticks to the main races, though we tend to have a few Draconic lineages and one catfolk).

Books available are the PHB(I&II), DMG, Complete Series, and Races Of __ series.

If more information is needed from me, let me know and i'll post is as soon as possible.

Mar 17, 2008 20:59:23 Maneuverability : Swift Fly (spell)

Hitting Hard : power attack, arcane strike, channeled vampiric touch (iconic duskblade maneuver)

Pretty sure there's a duskblade's handbook.
