I have elected to play a Duskblade//wizard super gish and had a few questions on the opinion of the board. First, I want to go Focused Specialist (transmutation) Wizard, what should I ban? I was looking for good buffs and touch spells. Second, I want to enter the Spelldancer prestige (MoF) and wondered which class should be my restricted class? If I make it duskblade, I'm garanteed a full BAB and good hit die, but any other multi classing will hurt my wizard spells (going to take at least one level of binder, no matter what). Racially speaking, I've picked human. Should it be something else? thanks in advance, ladies and gentleman (and all the rest of you)! |

Being able to channel Otto's in a Whirlwind attack (using a Whirling weapon enhancement) is just sexy! I'd suggest keeping your wizard casting full though. While it would suck to not be able to PrC your wizard into something fun like Fatespinnner, Archmage, Loremaster, or whatever, Duskblade is kinda meh after level 13 when you get multichannel. Do straight Wizard13//Duskblade13 up to that point, after which you can nab a Binder level and whatever else you want on your Duskblade side. |

Duskblade doesn't let you cast your Wizard spells without ASF, for example, so you might want to take Spellsword levels as soon as possible. |

It still works for the spell dancer cause I can use its increased casting on the duskblade instead. And I was planning on at least a one level dip in spellsword. I'd like to at least be a specialist wizard, i guess i just don't like generalizing. What do you guys think about race? Should have mentioned this earlier but if I take a racial adjustment it gets stuck on and before the restricted side. |
