I'm going in at level 5 as the only defender in a party of five and I was thinking of bringing in this guy: The basic concept would be a guardian fighter who takes powers from the cleric class to improve his survivability. Dwarf Fighter Str- 18, Con- 14, Dex- 14, Int- 10, Wis- 16, Cha- 8 Fighter Weapon Talent: One-handed Feats: Weapon Expertise: Heavy Blade, Initiate of the Faith, Novice Power At-Will: Tide of Iron, Footwork Lure Encounter: Healing Strike (cleric), Probing Attack Daily: Villain's Menace, Rain of Steel Utility: Pass Forward My DM allowed me these items: Drakescale Armor +2, Couters of Second Chances, Cloak of Distortion +1, Bloodclaw Longsword +1 His defenses would be at: 24 AC, 19 Fort, 17 Ref, 16 Will. His attack would be at a normal +12 to hit.
Would this guy work well? How can I improve him? I was also thinking of taking away his shield and giving him an Executioner Axe instead but I'm worried that his reflex def might be a bit low and that also, he would effectively be -2 to hit lower coz I'd have to use the Weapon Experise slot for Dwarven Weapon Training and switch to a less accurate weapon. What do you guys think? |
