| #1necrosnoop110Apr 04, 2010 17:05:20 | Looking to help out a friend with his build. Basics Starting Level: 5th Starting Abilities: 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8 Starting Gold: 7500gp Books: Core + anything reasonable Notes: No "monster" races, No evil Must Haves Dwarf Psychic Fighter Type (Psychic Warrior + Fighter + ???) Simple, Tough, and Hard Hitting (he hates overly complicated builds) Focus on weapon use, likes axes I was thinking Fighter 2/ Psychic Warrior 3 but was unsure where to take it from there. Any suggestions? Cheers, Necro |

It has cleric attack bonus, d8 hit dice, proficiency with all armor and simple weapons, and power points and maximum power level known as a psion. The down side is you'd have to select 4 mantles (essentially domains) and draw your powers know exclusively from them. There is a handbook that might help. |
| #3necrosnoop110Apr 05, 2010 9:15:23 | Keep in mind the "must haves" Dwarf, Simple, Strong Straight Forward Attack styles, Big Axe. (Oh and the campaign is very very unlikely to go past 15th level) What do you guys think about this: Dwarf Ranger 1/ Fighter 2/ Psychic Warrior 2/ Slayer 10 Abilities S 18 D 12 C 14 (+2 Race) = 16 I 10 W 16 C 8 (-2 Race) = 6 Feats 1: (Character 1: Power Attack) (Ranger 1: Track) 2: (Fighter 1: Cleave) 3: (Character 3: Reckless Charge) (Fighter 2: Speed of Thought) 4: (Psychic Warrior 1: Up the Walls) 5: (Psychic Warrior 2: Psionic Charge) 6: (Character 6: Leap Attack) 7: 8: 9: (Character 9: Mental Leap) 10: 11: 12: (Character 12: Psionic Weapon) 13: 14: 15: (Character 15: Greater Psionic Weapon) |
| #4Maat_MonsApr 05, 2010 11:21:56 | Psychic warrior has slower access to higher level powers and fewer power points in exchange for bonus feats and decent attack bonus and hit points. Slayer preserves the slower access to higher level powers and fewer power points, but ignores the other properties. It preserves the costs but does away with the benefits. If you replaced psychic warrior with psion, you have the same attack bonus, 1 less feat, and 4 fewer hit points. You would get 106 power points instead of 35 and 6th level powers instead of 4th. Of course, ardent would still be the best choice. |

| #6necrosnoop110Apr 05, 2010 15:02:19 | So would Dwarf Ranger 1/ Fighter 2/ Ardent 2/ Slayer 10 be a good build skeleton? |
| #7carnivoreApr 05, 2010 15:16:50 | yes ... very nice ... easy to use also .... suggested Mantles: Natural World Time Freedom ![]() |
| #8necrosnoop110Apr 05, 2010 16:49:32 | Check this out. Still unsure about feat selection: Dwarf Ranger 1/ Fighter 2/ Ardent 2/ Slayer 10 Abilities S 18 D 12 C 14 (+2 Race) = 16 I 10 W 16 C 8 (-2 Race) = 6 Mantles Natural World Time Freedom Feats 1: (Character 1: Power Attack) (Ranger 1: Track) 2: (Fighter 1: Cleave) 3: (Character 3: Practised Manifester) (Fighter 2: ???) 4: 5: 6: (Character 6: ???) 7: 8: 9: (Character 9: ???) 10: 11: 12: (Character 12: ???) 13: 14: 15: (Character 15: ???) |
