| #1cole_caecusFeb 25, 2009 22:38:10 | Im making a level 3 Dwarven Ranger, two weapon fighting style, using a dwarven waraxe and a handaxe. I have 4 available feats, and need some help picking them. So what feats should i pick? Im doing a fighter type, so id rather do fighting type feats. |
| #2darksamuariFeb 25, 2009 22:40:27 | Quickdraw perhaps as to give you a ranged option with throwing/handaxes axes. |
| #3obtusehobbitFeb 25, 2009 22:47:34 | First off what books do you have access to? Secondly what specificly are you looking for the character to do? |
| #4cole_caecusFeb 25, 2009 23:02:08 | I have access to all dnd 3.5 books |
| #5frostwolfFeb 25, 2009 23:36:42 | Have you considered taking the wild shape class variant? Nothing says fun like turning into a bear and TWFing with a set of claws!* *Just remembered, you only get medium sized critters... A wolverine then! or a puma, or an aardvark! claw claw tongue? |

| #7Hideous_PhidiasFeb 26, 2009 0:08:17 | I would suggest two weapon focus and high sword low axe for the trip attack but I don't think you want to hear people telling you to change your chosen weapons out. It is hard to give you advice on a character if we don't know what you want to do with it. What type of fighting stile are you looking for besides two weapon fighting? Are you going hit and run, toe to toe duelist, or maybe a mass combat multi-enemy at the same time fighter? Because of the ranger's need to wear light armor I suggest these two defense feats. Improved buckler Defense (CW) Shielded Axe (RoS) You may also want to think about the weapon mastery feats out of the Player's Handbook2. They will a +2 with any slashing weapon you use. You could take weapon focus Dwarven waraxe and the weapon specialization Dwarven waraxe later on when you BAB is high enough. Then around ninth level take Melee Weapon Mastery Slashing and then at fifteenth take Slashing Furry. Make yourself a Dwarf Axe Master I think some ne else suggested switching the hand axe out for the throwing axe. I think this would be a good idea to think about. They are the same axe but the throwing axe gives you a ranged weapon. You could put the returning ability on it and be very deadly. You may also want to look at the dwarven Urgrosh it may be a cool flavor weapon to carry too. |
